Travelocity has acquired complete ownership of ZUJI, including its operations in Australia and New Zealand, in a bid to strengthen the company’s global presence and improve its position for additional growth in the Asia-Pacific region.

ZUJI, the leading online travel company in the Asia-Pacific Region, also includes operations in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.

The acquisition comes after Travelocity and its affiliates previously owned 13.63 per cent of ZUJI, and purchased remaining shares from Abacus International and AGC Holdings for approximately US$34 million.

“It is a natural progression for Travelocity to take full ownership of ZUJI and the purchase positions us nicely for future growth in the fast-growing Asia-Pacific region,” Travelocity President and CEO, Michelle Peluso said.

Has anyone who uses zuji noticed any difference since travelocity has taken over.

I like the look and feel of zuji's website, it seems to be user friendly unlike some of the other travel websites, and use it constantly to peruse airfares and routes. I like the way the options are set out on the results page.

I have never used them for booking any flights but I have read some of the experiences of AFF members and it all seems to be fairly positive. I hope the level of information provided by zuji/travelocity continues in the future. Any improvements would be a bonus.

They already use the Travelocity booking engine, and have for a while so that won't change. Wish they would add in the Travelocity function of "Multiple Destinations" to the booking engine.

Travelocity used to own ~14% before so I doubt there will be any big changes coming up. There are rumours that TV will rebrand Zuji. Not sure if that will happen or not.

I think you'll see some more of Travelocity's functionality finding its way into Zuji although you're correct Mal that the booking engine already uses TVLY. As for branding, Zuji is doing very well in a number of Asian markets under that brand but AU and NZ might benefit from a re-think. Also expect to see the technology crop up in lots of partnerships.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Multi-city and dream maps please.

Hmmm, wonder if this means my chances of them honouring my HKT hotel stay is improving :?:
