Travel agent gone AWOL

Just watching this thread - for complaints or MIA travel agents or tour operators, can one not contact the Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) of the Australian Travel Accreditation Scheme (ATAS)?

Only if the said travel agent was a member. It’s been a few years since this was compulsory and travellers had the compensation scheme as a fall back. Booking through a non accredited travel agent is basically free falling, there is no safety net.

And we seem. to have forgotten how he helped many people to return home during COVID lockdowns.

Not a matter of forgetting. That was then and this is now. Madrooster now needs to address this thread or all prior credibility is out the window.

No they don’t, AFF has always had a non compulsion policy when it comes to getting answers on threads. No member has the right to demand an answer.

I get the long relationship you have experienced with the TA. And as I have no knowledge of what happened with the COVID repats, I havent forgotten those, I never knew of it. So I'm not factoring into my comments. And shouldn't.

So. I'm looking at this purely at face value.
