Topguest suspending accounts

The best way to not get suspended is to not reply to the email at all. Just take a week or two break then crack on with it.

No e-mail received here either. 4-7 checkins per week over HI + DT Hilton.

I'm probably lucky to hit 4 a week. Mainly HI as no DT Hilton here!

The problem with "don't check in for a few days" is I check into Foresquare as a habit, for many other reasons, and my Topguest account was tied to it, no way to not use it.....

Either way, poor community management.

Very poor indeed.. The email also had an unsubscribe option at the bottom!

They have to have an unsub link at the bottom of every email, it's law here in the US.

I guess it drives me extra crazy since I used to do community management. Kills me to see poor community managers......

Well i got a warning email this morning:



Interesting as they don't really say what you are/aren't doing.

That term says you represent and warrant that you are actually at a location by checking in (to paraphrase). Surely part of a check in is your actually location.

I visit quite a few DTs in my day in the UK, It is amazing how a coffee there or a beer in the lounge helps the HH points. (*)

well my location is where i check in! unless 50m is too far away???

I check in from upto 600m away. But always inside a building when the circle of error is large enough to include the location. I've also checked in, in a tunnel underneath a location.

You could always take your business elsewhere (if you could actually figure out what their business is, and more importantly, where you could go!)
