Plane watching at SXM is stunning but not as picturesque since the runway extension a few years back. It isn't as scary-close any more and the beach is pretty much gone -just a few rocks and a strip of sand left. However still a very fun day!

Really? How so?

We're going there around Christmas time (on a cruise actually). Is the departures that aren't as close?

LAX as a stunning approach?
Seeing it spread out at night is no different to seeing any other city spread out at night IMHO, and during the day, the best one can hope for is to spy the hollywood sign at a distance.

I agree, the most stunning part of LAX is leaving.

they are still close-ish but you can't get blown off your feet like you use to previously. Just a whole lot of wind and gravel.
Ditto with the landings. They're still close and closer then anything else you'll experience at other airports, just not OMG its scary close you see in the old YpuTube videos. Lol

Moho beach is still okay, get in early and grab a prime spot at the Sundowner Bar since there really isn't anyway on the beach anymore.

i choose to visit Sint-Marteen based on the beach lol but had a good time none the less. Great little island.

suggestion is to stay on the French side if possible. Much nicer then the Dutch side. I was in Grand-Case and loved it!

Agree completely.
