Danger well done with expanding our English language with the word Krugification. Now I know it probably is not the be all of champagnes but it has a certain " je ne sais quoi " about it so I like reserving it for travel on SQ. ...
SQKrugification? Bon Chance ...

Late arrival to this thread (sorry, been working on our F J Holden tour - restaurant bookings in Istanbul)
Having use of the 2 suites is just amazing. Safe travels.

We've transferred to the Conrad Tokyo this morning. The heavens have opened so catching the train was an interesting and soggy experience.

Staff here are lovely. Bags whisked off and shown to the lobby. Room ready after 20 minute wait so we enjoyed a coughtail in the bar. View is a bit obscured by rain.

Upgraded to executive room on the 37th (top) floor.

Duck was in the room but not bears so I'll make a call later.

The bear arrived during the turndown service and we found him hanging out with some friends.

Lovely dinner that night in Ginza.

Took a train to Kyoto yesterday for the day. A few temples and the Torii gates.

And some fabulous fabric shopping for me.

Back in Osaka, we found a fabulous little Okonomiyaki place for dinner.

Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of our room at the Westin. We had a little hiccup on arrival; I Had only booked for one person and they wanted to add an additional cost for a second person. On arrival in the room reception called to let us know the manager had agreed to waive the cost, but in the fuss the photos were forgotten. The room was a good size. A little dated but large bed, plenty of space, and the bathroom had a seated mirror/sink area that was separate from the loo/shower/tub.

That fabric shop would likewise be heaven for my quilter SIL. (She makes themed quilts and laundry bags for the Aussie Service people serving overseas.)

Found a couple of good shops. I've definitely added a few kg to my suitcase :D

Ensconced in the JAL F lounge in HND right now. Booked in for a massage shortly, shoes are off being shined, and I have a glass of bubbles in hand.

Interestingly, the Laurent is far better than the Duval (though I didn't like the NV either).

JL F was amazing. Crew were simply outstanding. I'm not sure if I can make a call between them and SQ at the moment.

LHR security makes the TSA look positively efficient and friendly

And BA have welcomed us in the Concorde Room :cool:

From Osaka, we caught the Shinkansen back to Tokyo and spent our final night at the Hilton Odaiba. No upgrade, but we arrived late enough that we would not have been able to use the lounge anyway. Room was the smallest we've had so far, but comfortable bed and a decent bathroom (creaky floor excluded).

We were given four drink coupons to use in any bar in the hotel; we chose a quiet bar (not the lobby bar) and indulged in a few coughtails.

This brings back fond memories of my last Japan adventure with Mrs GPH.
I'm loving the TR. have fun.

The food might be one thing I will struggle with in Japan. I have tried sushi and just cant seem to swallow it. Don't like the smell of the wrapping either. Its like my stomach rebels. Any suggestions?

Will enjoy the Italian food pics now. :p
