Not sure what @jb747 or @AviatorInsight would make if that Sim, but the g-forces seem at least one component missing!! ( But Knowing of course that they can't be simulated in that environment) ... Especially with such a fast 'recovery' ! Would the aircraft have survived do you think?
That’s not a sim.
Yes, sorry, didn't mean a professional type sim . But was the time to recover from the nose-dive realistic and could the plane survive it?
The footage is the actual footage from the test flight, so yes time to recover was realistic and yes the plane survived otherwise no footage.
My last sim was only a month or so before I retired, and it did include the inverted part. The senior check led into it with the comment “Let’s see if you remember how to be a fighter pilot”.In the sim though we do those kinds of recovery (not the inverted part), especially with this new training the company is developing in light of events from the last couple of years.

It might give some of the non pilots here an idea of both the violence, and the rapidity, of a ‘departure’. The G loading probably wasn’t all that high....perhaps 3.
What flight / test was it? The pilot looked a bit casually dressed and with the banter afterwards I assumed it was a Joe public simulated flight.
