Tigerair Australia Delays/Cancellations

Later on 20 December 2018 as ferocious storms are engulfing Sydney, TT371, the 1350 hours BNE - SYD that was airborne at 1434 (about half an hour late) with A320 VH-XUG had to hold multiple times west and south of Cessnock. Arrival looks to be at about 1735, 70 late.

The OOL down to MEL TT563 (B738 VH-VOY) took off at 1523 despite a 1435 hours timetabled blocks off, so arrival is at 1845 hours, 50 late.

The 1500 hours mid afternoon ADL - MEL TT464, took off at 1707 with A320 VH-VNR. Arrival should be at 1852, 122 late.

In more on Thursday 20 December 2018, TT642, the 1720 hours ADL - SYD took off at 2006 hours with A320 VH-VNC. Arrival is at 2215, 155 late.

On a wet Friday 21 December early evening in Melbourne, TT668 from CBR, the 1615 hours that was in the sky at 1727 is arriving at 1829, 64 late with B738 VH-VUB.

The OOL - MEL TT563 has A320 VH-VNG with arrival estimated as 1832, 37 late.

Continuing today with the QLD weather issues, TT612 SYD-OOL (VH-XUG), the 12 10 hours service departed at 17 37, arrived to gate at 18 45, 375 min late.

VH-VNH has been late all day. TT672 SYD-CFS landed at 13 16, 56 behind. Then TT703 CFS-MEL arrived to gate at 15 55, 65 tardy. Then this formed as TT532 MEL-BNE arrived at 18 12, 52 late. It's currently taxing out of BNE as TT533 BNE-MEL which was originally scheduled at 17 50, so it's running about 2 hours late.

TT382 SYD-BNE 18 05 service was cancelled.
TT387 BNE-SYD 19 05 service also cancelled.

A320 VH-VND is also unimpressive with TT256, the Friday 21 December 2018 MEL up to SYD due out at 1645 taking off at 2153. It is flying lower and faster than usual. FR24 estimates it will be at gate at 2302 (touching down at 2257 just prior to curfew) but perhaps it will arrive a littel earlier.

Saturday 22 December's TT221 (0845 hours SYD down to MEL, B738 VH-VOY) had not taken off by 0949 so will be at least 50 minutes late.

TT511 (0640 hours BNE down to MEL) took off at 0739 with arrival suggested as 1044 hours, 39 late for A320 VH-VNO.

TT554 (0830 hours MEL up to OOL) took off at 0958 with VH-VNH and is arriving at 1035, an hour behind schedule.

Northbound TT216 from MEL to SYD (B738 VH-VUB), the 0840 hours was in the sky at 1016. By 1105 it was in a hold (along with other aircraft) above Goulburn so it is unlikely to arrive prior to 1125, which would be 75 late.

Continuing with Saturday 22 December, TT307, the 0800 hours BNE across and down to ADL did not become airborne until 0947, so VH-VNK will not arrive until about 1254, 99 late.

Crewing (the lack thereof) may have been a reason for the delay as the aircraft had arrived on TT655 from DRW 26 minutes early at 0519.

Sunday 23 December 2018's evening has TT263 (B738 VH-VUB, the 1725 hours SYD down to MEL that was in the sky at 2005) likely to arrive at 2117, 137 late.

TT206 (Wednesday 26 November 2018, the 0645 hours MEL - SYD not airborne until 0738) has A320 VH-VNB and should arrive at 0851 hours, 36 late.

VH-VNR on the 0720 hours MEL down to HBA TT501 had not taken off by 0755, so will be delayed.

TT517 (26 December 2018 0755 hours BNE - MEL in the sky at 0853) should be at its destination ramp area at 1255 hours, 35 late.

Later, the 1240 hours lunchtime CBR down to MEL Tt664 did not push back until 1602. A320 VH-VNF should arrive at 1658 hours, 188 minutes behind schedule. This aircraft must be subbing for a failed plane as it arrived MEL at 1350, five minutes early on TT557 ex OOL and then had to operate TT665, the 1100 MEL - CBR that was in the sky at 1435.

It looks like VH-VNF was meant to run the 1530 hours MEL - OOL, TT566 that is supposedly to depart at a changed time of 1800 this evening. At least it's same day!

Much later on Boxing Day 2018, TT421 (2145 hours transcontinental from MEL across to PER) has been changed to depart at 2330. This looks like delaying TT424, the 2345 hours PER to MEL by 90 minutes in its departure, and may mean an early morning flight ex MEL on Thursday 27 is tardy.

TT569 is the culprit, with this OOL to MEL flight expected to arrive at 2255, 145 late.

Thursday 27th of Dec sees TT424 PER-MEL (A320 VH-VNB) arrive at 7 43, 83 behind schedule.
Also, TT501 MEL-HBA (A320 VH-VND) arrived at 9 22, 47 min tardy.
TT214 MEL-SYD (737 VH-VOY) has a worse delay. It was airborne at 9 50, with suggested arrival at 11 08, 98 min late.

Thursday 27th of Dec sees...
TT214 MEL-SYD (737 VH-VOY) has a worse delay. It was airborne at 9 50, with suggested arrival at 11 08, 98 min late.

Later in the day, TT527 with the same plane, the 1410 hours BNE down to MEL was airborne at 1557. Anticipated arrival is 1908 hours, 93 late, so in eight hours it has picked up a grand total of five minutes.

TYT471, 1720 hours MEL - ADL was cancelled.

A320 VH-VNR on TT464 (the 1500 hours mid afternoon ADL across to MEL that took off at 2024) is arriving at 2153 hours, 303 minutes lat. Thursday 28 December has been baking in ADL and not far behind that in MEL.

The evening of Friday 28 December 2018 finds TT272 (1940 hours MEL - SYD that was in the sky at 2059) likely to arrive at 2204, 59 late. Aircraft is B738 VH-VUD.

B738 VH-VUD on Sunday 30 December 2018's TT221 (0845 hours SYD down to MEL) was airborne at 0921, so arrival should be at 1055, 35 late.

This aircraft's next trip was TT226 (1050 hours MEL - SYD) but it had not taken off by 1157, so will be at least 45 minutes late arriving in the mainland harbour city.

UPDATE: TT226 was airborne at 1207 hours, just over an hour late.

Tuesday 1 January 2019 also sees TT524 (1220 MEL - BNE, B738 VH-VOR) that was airborne at 1628 likely to arrive at 1722 this afternoon, 227 minutes behind the timetable. This is the first flight for this aircraft on New Year's Day so no obvious reason for the delay, unless it had needed repairs overnight, or crew were still unavailable due to last night's Sydney storms.
