Why do you find it surprising?
Tiger gets a lot of bad press, but the majority is from people who just don't read the details of the service they're purchasing, or try to use the service to supply something that it's just not capable of doing (e.g. connecting flights).
As I said before.. we've had no real problems with Tiger and have had two great holidays as we've not had to invest a lot in the airfare.
But... I wouldn't fly Tiger where I had to connect.. and I wouldn't fly Tiger international.. (I'm quite large and wouldn't handle the long distance in the cramped seats.. and I wouldn't fly Tiger if I had a deadline to meet...
But... if I had those concerns, then I'd pay more for the "more guaranteed" service.
Tiger doesn't deserve a lot of the "bad press" it gets. If that means I have to post for the first time (after having been a member of this site since 2006!!), then so be it.
