Thoughts for AFF Cruise #2.

Any details?
The advertising at the shop front is $749 per person. On the website there's an 8 night Pacific Islands cruise from Sydney on 13 April 2018 on the Carnival spirit from $699 per person.

That sounds very cheap to me. Wish I had the time. There are also some cheap domestic cruises. Didn't realise the prices were that low.

A ball gown at breakfast?
Why not? There wouldn’t be formal nights but even on non the guys have to wear jackets in the MDR. No denim in most areas after 6pm. Straitman is doing a Transatlantic this year on QM2 so he has had to pack the tiara.

Traveller in today's "Age" has n ad for the Queen Elizabeth - Sydney - Burnie - Melbourne 9-12 March 2019
(OT: QM2 just happens to be parked outside the home office this morning).
EDITED to correct ship - should be QE, not QM2 . Thanks s888.

There hasn’t been much buzz about QM2 this year. She was in Adelaide recently and didn’t even know until yesterday.

The other Cunard ships are doing nice Adelaide trips next year but as posted upthread it’s a different experience.

That could work. I was planning to go to Scotland in February, so that would fit in if my leave is approved.

*goes away to think about how convoluted home-SYD could be*

Those dates (9 - 12 March, 2019) apply to the ship, Queen Elizabeth, not Queen Mary 2. QM2 will be in Singapore on March 10th, 11th. With my cruise companion and me on board, I hope.

I had seen a cruise which I thought might suit some, but I wasn't sure whether the cruise ship would suit. So I didn't post the details.
The cruise: Melbourne - Hobart - Melbourne on January 24th, 2019 for 4 nights.
The ship: Carnival Legend.

I’d like to try another Queen and am a bit tempted by early next year but think the other Dame isn’t able to commit anything currently.

Sounds like a good idea if it can be made to work but I/we can't commit to anything extra ATM either.

Also tempted to sail on another Queen, but with such fabulous company will sail on anything that floats - so long as dates don’t affect other travel plans.

I'm potentially interested in the QM one that is around the March long weekend.
