The rate of de-lock-down [??] between states is an interesting study. Doesn't seem related to political party in place, or temperament of the Premier. More related to recent outbreak experience.
In Tas, we are over our out-break (God, I hope) but Liberal Premier still pretty 'conservative' on emergence strategy. I think Tas has always had one of the tightest nursing home visit policies and also the common school-from-home-if-you-can policies; Premier repeatedly repudiated Fed Govt policy urging on nursing home visits. Although they introduced tighter restrictions in the NW during its outbreak, there was no regional travel road-blocks, which would have been relatively easy to do. Very much their own course.
From what I am reading, the Labor opposition here is 100% behind the announced re-emergence strategy, which is great to see.
