Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I think you did well - accommodation and cash in hand (assumed) - better than what the "savvy" ones in the USA try to position themselves for during overbooking. It's good you have time on your hands to be in a position to do so.

The us400 was a very good offering from QF i thought. In voucher form, can be redeemed for cash at any qf travel centre (where in perth i wonder...) or used for further bookings or placdd in to bank account if one approaches service at the airport. Will go tonight in PER if anyone is staffed...if not will head in to the city at some stage.

There used to be one next to Central Park. Not sure if it's still there?

Very nice but highlights the inconsistency.

If they only offered the same to the people they deliberately offload or those they downgrade to lower class of travel then there would not be too many complaints....

Fair point.

Just occurred to me we will probably get some compo for the delayed qf2 as per eu rules also.

Although the good times have ended here, middle seats e+f for the flight home.

I can't be bothered finding one of the kids in lounge whinge threads. So here it is - young boy (about 2yo) currently being extremely loud in the DJ lounge MEL. At the window pointing out and yelling "plane, plane, plane". The pure, innocent excitement is wonderful.

Pretty sure they closed all the qantas travel centres sometime in the last 6 to 12 months.

This is perhaps a bit on topic for this thread but I have very good reasons to visit Utah soon, will be staying in SLC,anyone stayed at the Holiday Inns in the area,I'm particularly
referring to the HI Express in SLC.
Would appreciate any advice, and by the way is Utah still a "dry" state?
Cheers

Why not look at either of Little America or Grand America in SLC. Little America in the high rise is really good as you get way more than 17 square metres extra. See if you can pull a deal there after you have googled the hotels.
Alcohol is restricted which is code for expensive......a fifteen dollar bottle of wine at a restaurant was over $60 with the meals....plus a tip....ouch....
They have a Flemings restaurant in SLC if you want to try a steakhouse.....my favourite is a bone in veal steak........
now I am really hungry.....

What Flyertalk meet in BNE on Saturday?

I have been here all weekend and could have attended. :( Serves me right for not checking Flyertalk that often.

I did and I didn't. I saw serfty but was too slow to say hi. Then I saw him sitting with you and wasn't sure if it was a work thing, so I didn't want to interrupt.

Yes, I'm hopeless with random "networking" stuff.

I have been in Brisbane all weekend and did not hire a car.

- Played golf at 6:50am at Gailes yesterday carrying golf and clubs and was on the 5:28am train from Central changing to bus service at Corinda
- Played golf at 7:24am at Nudgee (north course) this morning and was on the 6:22am train from Central (first Shorncliffe service) and walked ~2.5kms each way from Nudgee station to Nudgee golf club carrying ~12kgs golf bag and clubs.

All up ~25km walking with over 10kms carrying bag and clubs.

A little tired but a good weekend and it would have been better if went to airport yesterday....

I found the North course somewhat more challenging.
