My uncle passed away on Sunday. He's been unwell for a while, but it is still very sad. In addition to being my uncle he was also my first employer as I worked my in his business for two years when I was far younger and better looking than I am now... He was a tough, but fair boss, and I learnt a lot during those formidable years.

It's taken a few days for it to sink in properly :(

Sad to hear of your loss Penegal, take care.

True, but if I don't do the vacuuming it's not done properly :D
Come to think of it, there's a few household tasks which are similarly substandard unless done by me.
Perhaps there is method in getting a job half-done ? :p

Not that there are advantages in never being able to the task up to the required standard purely coincidentally of course!

Sorry to hear.

Bloody Telstra. Sold me a new phone a month ago that no longer functions. Can't send it in today for repairs as there was nobody available who is trained in the process (they'd all conveniently gone home 5 minutes before). I'm busy at work all day tomorrow so that's not an option. Have to wait until Thursday for them to be able to send it away. Monday looks like my best case scenario. Bunch of clowns

Take care, my hubby is feeling the effects of too many deaths in the last 18 months. The passing of a pet rabbit 2 weeks ago was the final straw - this has tipped him into an emotional state. Amazing how each of us deals with death in our own manner.

Condolences. Take care. They say it gets easier with time.

Plantar fasciitis.

Relatively severe pain started on Thursday and hasn't subsided. Anti-inflammatories, Nurofen Plus and Panadeine Extra do nothing for the pain.

Should I bother going to GP or just write it off as another -itis to add to the already long list?

Iv had it in my left foot. Pain lasted a year or so, on and off. DR offered me a Cortozone injection, but said it only had a 50% success rate in "resetting the pain thingy".

I just learned to live with it.

Condolences penegal. It's never easy.

Sorry to hear of your loss penegal, sounds like it was a little before his time.

Ah.. you've worked out the man's way of getting out of it. Yet, you're still falling for it? This leaves me with hope

Trialled the Dyson and it just didnt do the job against cat and jack russell hair. Went the Miele pet vacuum instead, it does a great job.

We have a Miele, great piece of kit. Prefer it to the Dyson and in Europe it prices much better too!

Thoughts are with you.

All the best penegal.Sounds like your uncle was one of the important influences on you. That certainly makes it harder to come to terms with your loss.
all the best.

Isn't it sad that we women are all excited by a bloody vacuum cleaner. So much for liberation.

not to freak out readers but I have a brain-damaged male patient that really really loves his vacuum cleaner. His sister sthat care for him couldn't work out why they seem to regularly have to replace their VCs

The MRI showed Mild to Moderate Disc Degeneration, but that's about it,

Tonight is the first night I have had pain in my leg, with a strong pulsing sensation in my rear lower calf, don't know if it's related though.

you may well have some facet joint inflammation/irritation - injecting the joint/s with local anaesthetic will give you an indication

Not much else to do.
