Isn't it sad that we women are all excited by a bloody vacuum cleaner. So much for liberation.

True, but if I don't do the vacuuming it's not done properly :D
Come to think of it, there's a few household tasks which are similarly substandard unless done by me.
Perhaps there is method in getting a job half-done ? :p

LOVE my Dyson, with 3 rabbits and a dog allowed inside (hubby is just a softy regarding annimals) the Dyson is the best I have ever owned. Though he thinks I go too far when I vacuum the veranda. :D

Trialled the Dyson and it just didnt do the job against cat and jack russell hair. Went the Miele pet vacuum instead, it does a great job.

And the "other halves" already know that.

We had an obsessive neighbour who vacuumed the street outside her house. Sadly I do not jest.

Yet her other half would service the engine of his semi in their driveway.

They were a little crazy. He would stand in the street and block the traffic that would use our street as a shortcut between main roads. Nasty he was.

Hey, some of us of the (un)fairer gender are genuinely trying our best, not some ulterior scheme to get you to tell us to p*ss off and go out and play more golf. :)

I am also excited by our Dyson. I find it very easy to use and I'm always impressed by the amount of dust/fluff collected each week. Agree with an earlier comment about Appliancesonline too. Recently had a new washing machine from them, which they delivered free and took away the old one. Will get a dishwasher next month, as ours is currently 15yo and is starting to leak and the door interlock switch is a bit dicey, and I don't want to risk a fault over holiday period.

BTW Appsonline is available through the Velocity estore and is currently giving 4 velocity points/$. Ebay is the same.

Plantar fasciitis.

Relatively severe pain started on Thursday and hasn't subsided. Anti-inflammatories, Nurofen Plus and Panadeine Extra do nothing for the pain.

Should I bother going to GP or just write it off as another -itis to add to the already long list?

because they don't work / haven't got enough suction. when Dyson make one then I will look at them.

Have to disagree on that. Mine works, I must admit surprisingly, well. It also makes it easy to do the task frequently; press the button and walk out the door for somewhere more important - like the beach - while the chore gets done ;):D.

Arrived home today as fence was going to be finished. A 3 day job according to them has taken 6 days. But I wonder when they were going to tell me about this....

A three foot gap between new fence and council required cyclone fence. WTF. These were the same guys who put iron sheeting all over the lawn where it would have sat for five days!

When I messaged the pic they said that their quote had been incorrect. Well, they were the ones who measured it up.

Good grief.

My uncle passed away on Sunday. He's been unwell for a while, but it is still very sad. In addition to being my uncle he was also my first employer as I worked my in his business for two years when I was far younger and better looking than I am now... He was a tough, but fair boss, and I learnt a lot during those formidable years.

It's taken a few days for it to sink in properly :(
