Have a merry Christmas every one
Same to you Kiwi Flyer, see you in SIN in three weeks!

Wishing the same sentiment to all: a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year.

Remember to watch out for those boysenberrys.

Thought that I would put this here since we have a totally off-topic thread.

MY RESUME
_______________________________________________________

My first job was working in an orange juice factory, but I got canned, couldn't concentrate.

Then I worked in the woods as a lumberjack, but I just couldn't hack it, so they gave me the axe.

After that I tried to be a tailor, but I just wasn't suited for it ... mainly because it was a sew-sew job.

Next I tried working in a muffler factory but that was too exhausting.

Then I tried to be a chef -- figured it would add a little spice too my life but I just didn't have the thyme. (Not to mention that I had an affair with Rosemary)

I attempted to be a deli worker, but any way I sliced it, I couldn't cut the mustard.

My best job was being a musician, but eventually I found I wasn't noteworthy.

I studied a long time to become a doctor, but I didn't have any patience.

Next was a job in a shoe factory; I tried but I just didn't fit in.

I became a professional fisherman, but discovered that I couldn't live on my net income.

I managed to get a good job working for a pool maintenance company, but the work was just too draining.

So then I got a job in a workout center, but they said I wasn't fit for the job.

After many years of trying to find steady work I finally got a job as a historian until I realized there was no future in it.

My last job was working at Tim Horton's, but I had to quit because it was always the same old grind.

SO I RETIRED AND I FOUND I AM PERFECT FOR THE JOB!

Anyone not on holidays over Christmas and New Year?

Nope. :D

So I am driving down to the local BBQ's Galore this morning to get some spare parts for the beast on my back deck, when the mobile phone rings. No caller ID number appears so I assume it's Mrs YY calling to ask me to pick up something for her. Wrong. It's one of my boss's setchetaries (in Singapore) asking if I had seen her email asking for everyone to submit their shirt size so she can finalise the order for company polo shirts. "Well no" I said - "I'm on leave and have not even turned on my laptop since last Friday". "Oh" she says in a surprised tone, as if this is strange.

Harumph!!!!!

Anyway, the office is closed until the 9th so I had to guess shirt sizes for everyone. If I've selected a larger size than I should have for any of the women I'll be on a hiding to nothing.

On hols, but on call if something diabolical happens, not that I would expect much to happen this week

Not back until 16th - longest break (3 weeks) in 8 years!

Close but no cigar. It is 5pm in Thailand. 3 hours difference to Brisbane and 4 hours to Sydney. The sunsets at around 6pm anyway. Not much more to do during the day other than get ready for nightlife. :D

So you did not like my mini trip report. :( Well no point bothering with a full trip report. Pretty boring anyway. :)

What is wrong with getting ready for dinner and a few ales? Window shopping past all the street vendors? The statement should have read "Not much more to do during the rest of the day, between 5pm and 6pm, other than get ready for nightlife." All very innocent.

Can anyone recommend 3 must play golf courses in Adelaide or surrounds that the public can play for a reasonable price. I am a full member of an AGU affiliated golf club with an AGU handicap.

Any advice on reasonable accommodation with qff point earning ability would also be appreciated. Best Western I think is OK but which property? I will be hiring a car so it does not have to be city centre.

Yes, I remember the 'street vendors' and the wares they had for sale.
