Lenovo have some access connections software that take control of the network settings and may takeover the default TCP/IP settings etc, shutdown the Access Connections.exe service in task manager and see if that makes a difference.
I do not have access to stop the service.  I honestly have no idea what I am doing.

Have you tried downloading safari? or is that a no-go zone, everything seems to work fine with safari for me (except A-Club sometimes, but I think thats more accor's fault than my computer)
Another browser? :(

Can someone please help?

I don't know whether there is a problem with 3 Mobile broadband or Windows Vista but the list of websites I cannot access is growing.

The latest is QFF, Flyertalk are no longer easily accessible on Internet Explorer v8.

The one that gets me the most is I cannot log in to my Priority Club account with either Internet Explorer or Firefox. Internet Explorer stutters but Firefox immediately displays message "Can't find server at secure.ichotelsgroup.com".

I have searched Google extensively and have not been able to find a solution. I have tried clearing cookies, cache, changes advanced settings for Internet Explorer and Firefox and still no solution.

I am guessing this is not going to be a simple fix. Assuming there is a fix....

John,

I have exactly the same problem with getting onto PC, and I am currently using a Telstra Next G card. It happens on and off. I think it could be a DNS type issue as opposed to the Modem. But I have seen it across different connections.

Not much I can do about DNS type issues. Something about specifying IP addresses instead of automatically detecting them but I have no idea what IP addresses to use.

Mainframes and minis are fantastic to use. This personal computer and internet garbage is way too complicated.

Did you try downloading safari as was suggested :?:
An apple product? ;)

You promise not to laugh if I told you the website did not load and I shut the window down after half an hour. My guess is the same issue that is causing a lot of other websites not to load. :(

Just checked-in early for QF10 to SIN/MEL and in the process QF608 to BNE. Managed to get seats 4D + E on the latter flight, when I had been allocated row 12 online. Not complaining. Also SEQ#1 + 2.

Now sat in the BA lounge and am really happy with the food offerings. much better than the QP.

Even better, they have the football on.

I was joking with my parents that if they paid me enough I would move out of home. A half hour later Dad said $20 000. No consultation with Mum, he just made me the offer. Anyone here who has met me knows Dad is getting a good deal.

Am I a bad daughter to consider this?

Anyone know a town where I can walk into a job? Another idea I have is to apply to teach in the USA with the E-3 visa.

One thing I learnt from working for a mining company is never accept the first offer
;) lol

So what is the full deal? I.e. no return for 12 months? Understand all the terms and conditions and then make a decision.

A job? Hmm sorry no ideas. Maybe you could work for the post office? ;)

Good advice.

Ask for double?

I was going to suggest $30 000 but hey, double or nothing. Then I can do the around the world in $1500 challenge. Hang on, better not suggest that. They'll only give me $1500.

I wish it was a nick off for 12 months lump sum.

You know my background too well to suggest the post office.......

I told Mum and Dad I am going to enter the Canberra Times Fun Run. My goal is the 10km in under an hour. They told me I'm too old to run 10 km

I'm not sure. I learnt the hard way, I accepted the first offer :(

10km in under an hour would be truely impressive.
Many moons ago I stuggled to do 5km in 25 minutes, when young.

What work can you do. Science? I might have a few contacts that might be willing to train you up. Dayglo type crowd....

The only science-y part of my education is my Social Science degree. Besides that I have an education degree (Primary). I also have a $32 000 hecs debt. And I am licenced medium rigid.

I really just need to move out of this small town. My Dad went to buy bait today and the guy said he knew we were home because he'd seen me out running yesterday . I've been in his shop once with Mum to buy a fishing licence.

It could be worse my sister lives in Cooma now that's a one horse town;)

Some of the lot owners in Royal Pines have nothing better to do than complain and try control everyone else's lives. I think they retired too early from whatever businesses they had. Anyway, lately they’ve taken to dropping propaganda in mailboxes and very recently, set up a website.

Now I couldn’t care about what they’re complaining about, however I really wanted to share the monstrosity that is the website they only recently created. It’s absolutely hideous, at least to me in both Safari and Firefox.

So just thought I’d share.

I know where you're referring but I have gotten sea sick a couple of times yet another time I survived sea state 5. Plus I already look good in green.
