My set is yellow gold and diamonds so Im happy for yellow gold to make a comeback.

Apparently Harry originally had Diana's ring but he gave it to his brother when he wanted to marry whats her name.
I read the deal was that whoever got engaged first got dibs on the ring....

Called Marriott in the USA this morning using Skype and when the called was answered after about 2m30s she hung up on me as she could not hear me. Possibly line quality poor.

I have not been able to call since as the number is not available in my area. Absolute rubbish. I literally called a few minutes ago.

Glad I don't have regular important business to conduct and relying on Skype consistency.

Now to try and call a US 1-800 number with phone card. Is it 1-801 that I need to dial as 1-800 numbers are also Australian numbers.

Add me to the list of yellow gold for my rings. I never saw the sense in white gold, how do you tell it apart from silver?

Easy. You just tell everyone!

MrsGM has white gold engagement and wedding rings.
I have tungsten. Nice and solid but without the exorbitant price tag.

Most people would assume that wedding jewellery is gold rather than silver. It's also more glossy (I have a silver ring on my right hand and the difference is noticable). But otherwise, doesnt really matter what anyone thinks. For me the white gold suits my skin better than yellow.

My rings are yellow gold but the prongs/claws are white gold for he diamonds.

Most rings these days, I thought they were platinum or white gold, not silver.

OK, I now understand “yellow gold” - it’s to differentiate it from ‘white gold’ ( gold+platinum) or ‘rose gold’ ( gold+copper).

I have bought some rings in my time - always pure, chunky gold. That said, I don’t naysay the alloys - can be used to compliment stones used - such as BIG pink diamonds :).

Best buying was in the gold souk in Riyadh years ago. Craftsmanship much the same and it was just priced by the gram pure gold. You weighed it, you knew it was pure gold, so their margin was totally transparent.

Buying gold in Singapore in the early 80s particularly in Chinatown was the same.gold price displayed so mark up known.in those days it was very little.

Ive been following on instragram a diamond dealer in NYC for a few months now. I think we might have to visit next time we are there but then I think, that $20+K would make a good trip to [insert other country name].
