I hope CE is trying to wear SQ planes out.

... or at least run them out of Champagne :)

Both Crows and Richmond have been absent from the GF for the same period I believe

I heard that this will be the first Grand Final, since the first grand Final, that no player has played in a GF before.

I have to go for the underdogs - Tigers!

Who cares about the AFL when the Cowboys have had such incredible performances to get into their grand final.A great game against the Roosters.
If I have to go with anyone in the Grand final down south I would have to go with JustinF.The Tigers have played their hearts out this year.

So having the main coach murdered mid season a couple of years ago then another coach dying of cancer the next; not having a top ten draft pick for years so rebuilding the current players doesn’t make for struggle street? They are playing brilliantly against all odds.

Well they have themselves to blame for the loss of draft picks though-2012 mean anything.
They also were in the finals last year the first year without Coach Walsh.
The tigers last Grand final appearance was 1982,last flag 1980.

And who went into the season as premiership favourites.sorry but being an old North Sydney Bears supporter I always barrack for the underdog

On car servicing, the best thing I did was find a mechanic that comes to me. A friend of a very good friend of mine, he came highly recommended. Because he comes to my home he shows me things on the car that need attention or soon will. I would stake my reputation recommending this guy to anybody in ADL. He doesn't advertise, all word of mouth. The fact he is a fellow Stonewaller is a bonus

Sure that was their fault but they’ve worked a miracle. Unlike Essendon whom as a Club didn’t suffer but their players certainly did.

I sometimes follow the underdog but only when they are underdog because of immense challenge and not simply because they are the ones most likely to lose.

Doesn’t the fact the team managed to keep it together after his shocking death say something about the team? It does in my books.
Sorry - I know nothing about north Sydney bears
so I can’t link the two.
The word underdog is interesting. Kind of like supporting Ned Kelly.

My taste buds like Moët so I would pick that one if there was a selection in the lounge. I take Veuve when we go out.

Great aussie price rip off... was browsing for luggage, Myer sale advertising Antler bag (spinner) for $99. 'Reduced from $199'. Didn't have usual Antler branding, is some sort of secondary brand called 'Revelation'. Went to look at a review, it's sold by Argos in the UK. Standard price? £49. (The reviews are good BTW, just it dun look so great.)

One wonders if department stores sold things a little cheaper (less margin) they might sell a lot more of it?

The start of that "long week", where your new air con units are sitting in the lounge room, waiting to be installed........
New oven installation on Wednesday. My 11 year old Dyson died last weekend, so new one purchased yesterday too.

With supermarkets attempting self check outs I am expecting "sales" of potatoes and carrots to exceed the amount grown. Sales of bananas and grapes may drop alarmingly.

Been happening for years. I assume that they have factored that cost in.

You're welcome around to ours anytime with an attitude like that ;)

Hopefully it doesn't outweigh the savings in terms of throughput and human resources.

This is not completely the fault of the stores. Why can't people be honest - this is why we don't deserve nice things.

Oh I agree. I refuse to use them unless I'm literally buying three items or less. Stores know that they are the cause of an increase in theft but still seem to prefer them to properly staffing check-outs.

But that's the rub. They are prepared to accept an increase in theft if it means the costs of the other functions goes down.

I'd rather use the self-serve checkouts because they are, most of the time, much faster than a staffed checkout.

"Dishonesty" of customers has existed before self-serve checkouts. For example, someone who lines up in the express lane with more than 12 items (in fact, usually a whole trolley full of items), and expects to be served and won't accept otherwise. Mind, if we could trust people to be honest and not steal, we really wouldn't need all this razzle-dazzle security stuff (which mostly doesn't work, but it is there). But, we can't.

We paint corporations as being money-grubbing, immoral entities who don't care about customers. Yet, their "customers" can consist of those whose conduct is also quite immoral.

I wonder how much flights are going to go up over the long weekend between TSV and SYD

Both my sons want to see the Cowboys play in Sydney next weekend. They may even have to buy their plane tickets.....eek....They are so not used to doing that.
