So far only one car has been stolen and the staff member drove straight to it with the police on hand. We have Navman on almost all of our work vehicles.
i guess it wouldn't be so good for those who are being unfaithful to their partners.........
It is a tracking system that works and has a monthly charge.

We have Navman on our two cars so if they get stolen we know where they have gone and where they stopped during the theft period. With a bit of luck they go home to pick up friends for a joy ride.

And if they're turned off or even ripped of the windscreen and tossed out the window?

I don't think you can track where they've been unless the thieves enter an address.

A tip for using your GPS: don't put your home address in it. Put your nearest railway station, shopping centre or some such location so that if your car is stolen while you're away from home the thief can't just drive to your home and burgle it before you even discover your car has been stolen.

Can GPS units be tracked? Not sure our (admittedly old) TomTom has such a feature.

I know that there are cheap solutions out there where you can put tracking devices in your car so that if you want to know where the car is, you can activate software somewhere else to track it.

Naturally, all bets are off if the thieves are cunning enough to find and trash/discard any tracking devices in or on the car.

I'm willing to bet Cove isn't talking about A navman. But instead vehicle tracking service called navman - so no need to enter addresses. Qantas Search found this possible service.

Yes medhead that is the one.
Car theft has certainly changed a bit over the years. I was always impressed with the Ford Falcon model that would start with the oil dipstick as a key quite a few years ago.

One of my primary school teachers could start his Kingswood with a flathead screw driver!

Lose your car keys today and you may find out how expensive that loss is when you go to get a replacement.
I haven't had a bad car crash since my Kingswood got hit by a truck that ran a red light. It hit at the rear wheel arch so I was just so lucky.

I had a Saab and we bought a Hyundai Sonata. The Saab key could be used to start the Hyundai though it didn't work the other way around. This was early 90s.

I just realised I have done 20 flights since the start of the financial year. No wonder I am so tired and grumpy.

That's a little crazy given we are only 44 days in to FY17. I am floating close to a flight every second day.

At least this week is currently planned as only 3 segments.
Only 3 flights this week.........that's just a flesh wound!
a la Python. Enjoy them immensely my friend penegal!

Boring Monday morning at work at the servers are done. Hilariously I can access Facebook.

Ironic as it may seem, I wish they had have stolen it. It's insured and I am looking to sell it anyway, which now has to wait a little bit.
I only got a new windscreen last week, so insurance won't front for another window replacement, and my excess would cost me more anyway.

Another expense I don't really need right now.

I started thinking where could you take that car to get it taken. But then that would not be fair to your insurer GarrettM.
Using your superior sales skills I feel confident that it can be sold. We have used carsales site as it has the most traders/buyers. You only need one buyer.

Not fussed about being fair to my insurer cove, although I am very conscious of how such underhanded actions affect the rest of society via increased premiums, waste of police resources, and so on.

$460 for a new window, but at least it will be done by tomorrow. Car will be online by the end of the week with a bit of luck.
Possibly have a buyer already but haven't heard back.

And mum's house had its first viewing yesterday, which the agent was reasonably positive about.

So I think maybe that little speck of light way over there at the other end of the tunnel may not turn out to be a freight train just yet.

All we have to deal with is a dry heatwave over in Los Angeles and because it is Sunday evening we are watching the Olympics.

haha, it's not the highest run rate I have had, but it has been consistent - on a plane every single week without fail for about 4-5 months now. I find domestic hops can be more tiring than you expect.

Domestic Y for work isn't quite as fun as international J or F for fun, but it is always nice to get on a plane.

Contracts for sale of apartment exchanged at 2:30pm. In theory that means I will be debt free very soon but knowing me that won't last long.

At least I can now start abusing credit card signon bonuses....

You are in for a whole new world of costs you never knew existed MrJohnK. Can't wait to read about your alarm right here. :p
