I have seen that on TVSN. It looks really good. They have the Phillips woman on demonstrating how to use it, she is really good ! She has some good cooking tips and it really looks easy. I liked the idea of the Phillips Air Fryer so I watched her demo that several times before I bought one !!

I love it, means home made pasta can be a mid-week thing rather than a weekend only (when I would normally pull out the pasta bike and roll it myself).

Vegetarian?

Nope, but it looked hideous and neither of us were convinced it was edible.

Ouch

Most states and territories will refund registration and compulsory insurance on a pro-rata basis. However you need to retain the plates yourself, and return them. NB - The insurance company or wrecker often does this themselves if you don't.

Insurance can usually be refunded on a pro-rata basis if you don't claim on it (e.g. a not at fault write-off, or a Third Party, Fire and Theft policy). There are some nuances between policies, so best to check the fine print.

Yes, unfortunately these didn't fit with our T&Cs. :(
And now the new car insurance and rego will be due about 1-2 days after our house insurance.

Right, time to stop whinging about it! I'm grateful no-one was seriously hurt or worse in the accident, and I'm grateful we can buy a new car for me.

Though it may impact my WP re-quals this year, and our family holiday. Sorry, that's a bit too on-topic perhaps for this thread.

When I was young (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth), I was always taught to "eat up" so I could grow up to be big and strong, and we were always told NEVER WASTE FOOD.
One of my many bad habits is not to throw away food.

One of my many pet hates is seeing other people throwing away food. I've lost count of the number of times I have seen people ordering something like a burger and chips and leaving the burger and the chips half eaten. If you're not hungry order one or the other or order a salad.

What about paying your insurance monthly by credit card with no extra fees? I do for home, contents, cars and bike with Shannons. They gave me the best rate too.

Anybody else just watch the 'Countdown' tribute show on ABC 2? Molly you are a national treasure!

So many memories. Want to force the kids to watch it and tell them how my life at their age involved watching this show, and recording the top ten with a tape deck. And no iview/you tube to catch up later!

but they're just say "No dad!"

I really enjoyed the Molly show. As a relatively late arrival to Australia, I do feel I lack pop cultural knowledge, such as the music my contemporaries listened to when they were younger. Using Spotify to fill in some of the gaps. Currently on Skyhooks

I'm feeling a little lost tonight and not looking forward to the next phone call from my parents.

Their best friends are my god parents - they lost their son in 1994 and my god father has become known as Lazarus for the number of times he has gone into hospital and somehow survived (multiple health issues). He was admitted to hospital again last week but looks like checking out tomorrow.

Tonight I ring my parents to see how they are and they let me know that my god parents daughter (about 5 years older than me) is in ICU and not expected to last tonight. I was gobsmacked. Seems that I never knew she'd had cancer of the bone marrow before and apparently she was on a trial drug that I was told appeared to be a success, but the cancer returned with vengeance. Annie is a nurse so would have been well aware of any prognosis. She collapsed at home on the weekend doing the housework and we surmised that she was already aware of the new diagnosis and was readying her house (for her husband and Uni aged kids) as she knew she was going back into hospital.

Whilst I am disappointed that nobody had ever told me about her first brush with cancer, I'm grateful that I know prior to her death. I'm also amazed that her father is hoping to be able to check himself out of his hospital bed and hoping his daughter survives long enough for him to see her tomorrow morning. It'll break him (as the death of his son did) and I don't expect him to out survive Annie for long. Having the likelihood of being the sole survivor of the family, I don't know how my godmother will cope.

Thanks for understanding my need to share and vent my frustration at the world. Looks like I'll be booking flights to CBR (or changing an existing booking to MEL). #%^%# I hate CANCER.......

Sorry to hear about that QF WP. Losing someone, especially under those circumstances is especially tough. Best wishes from myself & Mrs Flashback.

I'm sorry to hear about this QF WP. Blessings to you and to Annie's family as well.

Such dignity in the face of death. And we can never know when it will come, so it is best to live every day with dignity.

Travel safely. السلام عليكم

Thought are with you, but especially Annie, loosing a child (they are always your child no matter how old they are) and now being faced with both gone will be a heavy burden.
