It is very hard being on a diet before Christmas when you get emails like this

"Ultimate Christmas cakes
and desserts" here is my favourite

I helped make one of those once, or a very similar one. Lots of work.

The biggest thing that sucks is when you have all (or can easily obtain) the ingredients for something but you're lacking the equipment (mixers, moulds, big enough trays, etc.)

Just finished making a meringue roulade (in the fridge at the moment) for a little Christmas do this afternoon. Rolling that up was a nightmare, and the meringue is a little burnt on top. I'm sure it'll taste good, but presentation-wise I am really, really scared to unwrap the roulade.

Although no family history and a negative FOBT I had a colonoscopy at 59 and had 2 polyps removed.Another one since but last 2 negative so happy to wait 5 years.
As well there is often too long between a positive FOBT and the follow up endoscopy.

Thanks, I'll give the Council a call tomorrow. Unfortunately, no matter what I do, that won't bring the tree branches back.

This is what my neighbour's idea of pruning to the fenceline is (two trees, a loquat tree in foreground, and an elm):

In Victoria it is to the fence line plus 10%, however more if the tree is an invasive plant.

Had a fabulous night with some really close friends last night - whilst ladies inside nattering away I helped cook the barby:

And when technical advice was required I was first to assist again:

Ladies said the meat was delicious - said it was lovely and tender, moist and succulent - although they did think the spatula was a tad overdone - apparently we left that on a little too long!

Really? I can get my patients scoped by the end of the week generally. Max 3 weeks if scheduling doesn't work well.

I was amazed when I called... despite the practitioner being consistently busy, I had no trouble getting a date, and then time, that worked around my business life. The real challenge isn't getting the appointment, or even displeasure with the process, but (in my case, and many of those I talk with) just remembering to get around to it. Not like a gammy leg, or back problem that won't go away, or big red followups in a diary, or some other thing that gives you constant reminders.

Just very easy to forget, and that's why it's good to talk about it.

Hey, does anyone know why my post count might have been stuck at 69 for the last 10 or more posts? Very difficult to reach 1000 if the system doesn't like you.

No, no surely you meant to say 'slightly caramelised to add colour and texture!"

Did they dump the branches back on your side?!! Not sure about your council but in mine anything you trim is yours to dispose of, not the tree owners. I'd be dumping it right back on over.

Apparently, from my admittedly basic reading, the cutter has the right to return the cut branches to the tree owner (in this case, me).
