I recall folks being quite bothered by introduction of the electronic calculator.. whats wrong with my adding machine ?
Some folks could not let go of typewriters.. or fax machines.. or floppy disks..or…..

It is all as dumb as can be...Data centres become the achilles heels of society, easily disabled , rendering their clientele ( and their customers) helpless.

Bunkers versus pitchforks: I think AI is merely accelerating some societies towards the inevitable.

Some people will dismiss this because of their political leanings, and there is a bit of hyperbole, but I tend to think that from a big picture view it’s a good article and it makes me think.

I've seen a lot of people finding specific examples where they didn't get the response they hope for from AI. I wonder how good the prompt was in the first place?

The digital warfare of AI is most certainly coming. It's going to be a question of what is the target.

I don't believe the "hacks" that's happened recently are really rogue ai's - if they were we're probably in a more dire position in what it could potentially do and take over.

They didn't go rogue that sense. They worked together to complete a task they were given. AI wants to complete the task. It will generally try look for an answer/solution before expending energy solving a problem that's already solved.

That's a good point. I explain to people that dealing with the LLM AI Tools e.g. ChatGPT etc, It's like dealing with a four year old - they'll tell you anything that makes you happy. I've recommended this course to people to get the basics right AI Prompting for Everyone I have no commercial interest in the company.
