I do handbags too...

On our recent US trip, Jnr had a field day at Macy's with handbags and a couple of wallets. She posted a photo on her FB page and tagged Macys. They were obviously impressed and requested her permission to re-tweet the photo.

I think I came home from the US with four new handbags  All on sale of course.

Bulgari handbags are in Costco down the street tonight.
Silk ties are $17.99.
Just finished the Poully-Fuisse 2012 from Costco (22.99)
It will be a two big bags getting home on SQ Suites provided I stop buying things.

I will seriously have to drown my sorrows this evening.

During the week I had to cull my shoe wardrobe. Since I broke my ankles in February I basically have to wear fairly flat boring shoes :( :( In the first round 20 pairs of stilettos had to go. I cant even look at my Jimmy Choos - I have left them in their box. Next week another 20 pairs will probably go !

I hope they're off to a good new home? Best time is before the formal season to the op-shops - maybe have to put of the culling until Aug/Sep 15 then....

Here's a sociogeographic question. How many people put out goods on the verge in front of their homes - not rubbish, but no longer required household items? It seems I am the only one in my office who doesn't do this, and I am told its "the thing to do" in Bondi. I've always thought it was kind of, hmm, trashy!

How else do you get to meet your neighbours then....

I'd say roughly 50% of what gets put out on the verge ends up within 3 to 4 houses distance. Mind you, it was hard carrying the 5' x 4' trampoline home after getting off the bus (in suit).

Hard but a good challenge!

That Century21 outlet near ground zero is shocking.

But I did feel bad taking such interest in an outlet so close to an area of massive loss.

So you engaged in even more retail therapy to get over it?

ooohhh what size??? LOL
Since we moved office out to the farm I have not worn any heels to work, I think my feet would die in anything over 2 inches high now. Slip-ons are easier to kick off when I decide to have a lay down on the lounge during the day.
My last count of shoes was over 50 pairs.
(Guys - you have to remember that our shoe size basically does not change, our dress sizes can change one season to the next - that's my excuse for the collection)

Hey it is equal opportunity on shoes size as well!!!

unfortunately the same can be said about waist and hip size though (I would not mind that kind of chauvinism though).

Last night we were out with 2 folks from Buffalo. Those photos may indicate a bit of climate warming might be appreciated.

It's now called climate change. Because that can include anything, including just "weather".

Because the great lakes are warmer then usual, more snow is falling then usual, which is also called the lake snow effect.

Those lakes are mighty powerful then.At or below freezing 2 days in a row in all 50 states with numerous record low temperatures.
See the second part of the reason for the record snow fall was also lower than normal temperatures.

And influencing Austria as well, very powerful lakes! Snow down to 700m in the equivalent of May in Australia.

So Mother Nature is working to reduce the temperature of the lakes by creating more snow than usual which will cool the lakes down. She is waaaay cleverer than us mere mortals.

A suggestion for those culling decent shoes or dresses: charities such as mission Australia run ball for homeless/disadvantaged youth who may not have had the opportunity to attend a school ball. They are often seeking donations of such items and may create a life memory for someone, rather than just being resold for charity in an op shop.

I can't go into this room. It's where we store the station staff.

I'll be here all week, try the veal.

I have about 20 pairs of ballet flats, none of them matching my outfit !
Outfit?

I try to keep life simple. Black leather dress moccasins to go with my endless collection of black trousers. I have one pair of blue trousers and I did buy a pair of grey(ish) trousers recently and surprisingly my black shoes go with both. ;)

My wardrobe is anything but simple, I like to think that my life is relatively simple though :)
