A gentle reminder about drinks in BNE tomorrow night.

The venue is The Mill Hotel Bar & Restaurant. It is located on Wickham Terrace, on the corner of Bartley St, next to Brisbane Private Hospital, opposite the old Tower Mill and ~100 metres from Jacobs Ladder.

And as mentioned earlier Amex is accepted...

Drinks normally start ~5:30pm and should be finished ~8:30pm or whatever time the crowd and the mood decide.

Looks like we could have a good crowd tomorrow night.

On home turf in MEL this week. Seems the crunch has hit us as well. I only travel 2 weeks out of 4 now, however it has now been 3 weeks since I have left terra firma!!!

Sorry guys, but feel free to put through a single Amex transaction for me

Small trivial question: For those of us with a Flight Memory or ba97 profile, if you have a codeshared flight (i.e. you are not travelling on the flight number which corresponds to the metal of the flight), when you enter the flight into your schedule, is your preference to list:
  • The marketed flight, or
  • The flight corresponding to the metal
For example, say you have a ticket for QF320 (which is operated by BA under BA15). Would your profile list QF320 or BA15? I guess additionally if you were counting your carrier breakdown (e.g. in the other thread which gives our monthly travel habits), would you count towards BA or QF (i.e. the metal or the marketed/ticketed flight)?

I enter the marketing carrier, but do not enter the flight number, nor the times.

For codeshares I may enter the operating carrier in the comments.

I see you're preserving a good level of anonymity.

I also notice you class Star Class as Premium Economy. I guess to a large degree that is quite true, but I class them as Business because that's the earn rate on them, and I think it's more like J- rather than Y+.

Nup - IMHO it's Y+... like BA WT+ you get Y meals and drinks in a Millennium seat (and at least you do not have to pay on board for it).

I prefer to stick to whatever is on the ticket - I've got some VS/DJ and QF/VN codeshares, that I've just entered whatever it was ticketed as to make sure that I get whatever miles are coming to me. See here.

Well, I can contend with that. You have to admit the Business earn does throw things up and around though. Ah the quirks of the QF system...

EDIT: I found another reason why I put 'Business' for Star Class. Flight Memory doesn't have an option for Premium Economy, so I carried the habit through after I created my ba97.

I do selling airline, and add operating airline in the comments line.

eg. QF322 with comment (operated by LAN)

Re: Satrclass, i tend to think of it as "old-school" business (pre the lie flat days.....).

JohnK and other attendees, I'm already looking forward to a beer (after walking up from the City this morning - it's a hot one out there today) .

I'll be there just after 5pm.

I'm the opposite. I do operating airline, and add marketing airline in comments. The tool is meant to faciliate meet ups with other people in lounges and/or onboard and i think codeshares can be confusing as a single flight can carry multiple codeshare arrangements.

You are looking forward to a beer? I have been detoxing for 3 days and have forgotten what beer tastes like. I should be on the 5:09pm train from Toowong so hopefully get there just before 5:30pm. I may leave earlier if I am still feeling stressed at work....

I enter the same way as doc. However it is about time they added a premium economy section to their respective websites. Seems to be enough call for it.

I thought about starting a new thread but thought hey The TOTT needs a hand along so I've decided to post here. :D

Tomorrow we start moving house and try to get organized toward having 24 adults and 7 kids for Christmas lunch.

Being Christmas and knowing how Telstra works we don't know when we'll have a land line phone working again let alone an ADSL connection. This may or may not mean that I/we have no access to the net for a while. Only Telsta knows how long a while is though I suspect that even they have no idea.

That being the case, Sue & I would like to get in early and wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and a SAFE and Happy New Year. :D :D

Keep the forum working well and prospering and we'll be back when ever we get an internet connection again. :D
