Those bemoaning the lack of "western choices" might be interested to see what's on offer currently!

In some ways so true, the only Asian option is the Sambal Squid, that's it. At least feedback is being taken on board and changes made, although I am firmly of the opinion that western food in Asia leaves a lot to be desired, you only need to go down to the staff canteen and see what $5 gets you to understand why Singapore shines with food.

I agree. Lounges that reflect the food of the country they are in are usually the best.

Maybe cater a bit also to the country of the airline but stick mainly to what can be done well locally.

I'm sitting in the Qantas Singapore lounge at the moment after a hot, sticky day in Singapore and I have to say - I like this lounge. Yes I even like tonights Sambal Squid and I like the beetroot salad. This is a nice airline lounge. I like the sav blanc i'm drinking at the moment. I like that the waitress just smiled at me when I looked up from typing this rubbish and she asked if I need any help. (I assume with refilling my glass and not with typing). I'm looking forward to liking my shower in 10 minutes.

I was here last week as well for the first time in a year or so and I checked out the Emirates lounge. Now that's a tired, plain lounge compared to this one. I also checked out the BA lounge and it's nice but not as nice as this one.

I don't know what sort of jet setting, 5 star lux life some of you folks are living but for us more simple folks this is a NICE lounge.

I liked having this rant. Back to the wine.

A good opinion along with Markis 10 opinion , u can't please all.

I hadn't flown QFi, and rarely DFd for that matter, for some 5 years. I found the domestic J lounges at SYD and ADL and the int'l J lounges at SYD & SIN to be excellent with SIN lounge used last week the standout. It at least matched, probably exceeded the SQ J lounge in SIN used the same time for MI flights.
Found only the odd small boutique lounges such as EY out of DUB offering F standard a la carte dining.
The wife and I however both found the QF 330 plane and service to be a 'quaint' experience and reaffirms the decision to cease sending bulk FF points QF's way.

My mistake, flying J and first time to Adelaide airport, just went where I was told.

Technically, as the ADL QP does duty for international flights it is an international J lounge. Or conversely the SIN lounge is just a QP for the masses.

. Hopefully not just jetstar pax with no margins.

If not jetstar pax, then which airline? I say they are almost certainly filling it with JQ pax.

Oh and I'm disgusted by the lack of Eastern food in an eastern country.

'Quaint' that's a good way of putting it ;) Did you have IFE by the way?

Yeah they are not the best but they are all getting new interiors starting mid-late this year which will be a VERY nice way to travel in business and a little better in Economy!

Feels a little claustrophobic af the front of economy. Not quite the same feeling as the front of economy on the 747.
