The Qantas Newbie Questions Thread

Hi all, for the 1 (at most) following at home;

TK174 in a holding pattern for 30min. Was initially announced to land at 1910. That got pushed back to 1944.

Deplaned at 1950
Landside B arrivals at 1956
QF Transfer Bus at 2002
J Lounge DOM at 2011

I was the last pax on the QF transfer bus before it left. I can also walk quite quickly.,

So, normal QF Int-DOM transfer procedure that I’m used to. I kept hearing things about Gate 15 DOM being out of commission, landside busses etc for transfer, which had me a bit spooked. Seems like that is all fixed up!

Edit: Ran into work colleague I recognised at J Lounge - 2015

Does anyone have recent experience in JNB who could help me out?
Maybe answered, but we went through JNB in November, and TBH I found it a bit confusing.
The QF flight details said departing Terminal B, and that was where we checked in.

We then found signage less than ideal to find our way to the security and immigration, which was on other side of the big central atrium, and (maybe) one level down.
Departure was from an "A" gate.
It is one continuous building so the split seems arbitrary.
We used the BA lounge after immigration, so I assume it was the "A" terminal.
