PSA: Requesting award seats for an existing booking carries some risk.

Anyone having issues with flights not showing in the QF App?
I have a OW Classic flight award that has disappeared.
I have tickets (with ticket numbers) and when I log into via desktop the flights all show in my account. So it’s not full panic stations.
Initially I thought perhaps the app has a limitation on the number of flights and/or sectors it will display. However the flights have gone from Mrs H and Miss H apps also.
Any ideas before I call just to be sure.
The flight disappearing from the app was indeed a precursor to the booking being cancelled as outlined by

Be extra careful. I recently had a full Award booking cancelled (BNE-BKK-AMM-CAI-LHR-DUB-LHR-HEL-SIN-BNE) and it started like this. Flights disappeared from the app but still showed online. Called Qantas and told all OK just refresh the app. Made several calls over about 3 weeks with no result then suddenly the flights disappeared on line as well. Panic stations and luckily got straight through to Hobart who managed to get all flights back except LHR - DUB. I had made a slight change to one flight a couple of weeks before they all went missing so possibly human error on the Qantas end. Still not sure what the cause was but interestingly they had to re-enter our FF numbers as the agent said they werent showing. . Ended well but largely through getting Hobart I'd say.
A supervisor in HBA is attempting to rebuild the booking.
The agent also explained what happened and it might be a useful warning for others.
Apparently, when requesting a seat release for
new booking, agents typically add an "auto-cancel".
This auto-cancel kicks in if the PNR is not ticketed by the TTL.
As I understand it, this saves the agent a bunch of steps to manually delete unsuccessful requests.
For existing PNR's they are
not meant to add the auto-cancel.
In my case, the auto-cancel was accidentally added to my existing Oneworld Classic Flight Award when I requested a seat release.
A couple of weeks after my request was declined, the whole booking was auto cancelled.
For those requesting a seat release for an existing booking I would strongly suggest being alert to this.
