That's a bit confusing; are you saying you are booked SYD-ADL-PER-SYD but want to fly SYD-PER?

If so your return will need to something like PER-ADL/CBR-SYD and will cost USD125 +++ for reissue.

If you are simply looking for SYD-PER-ADL on 4/5 Dec then that's different. Are you indicating that no options via ADL get you into PER early enough?

Sorry - for clarity. I currently have SYD-ADL-PER-SYD booked on 14 March next year - random dates selected just to park the ticket.

I now have a business reason to go to PER and ADL before Christmas. The work can be done over the phone but it would be nice to meet these guys if there is no flight cost.

I have checked availability SYD-ADL on 3 Dec and ADL-PER on the afternoon of 4 Dec and there is sufficient but there is no D avail PER-SYD on 4/5 Dec only 6 Dec.

I could reissue and come back via MEL for $126 and that might be acceptable. if it can be reissued at this point - I know it can but would have to call AA.

Expertflyer is showing D class available for the BA7414 codeshare on QF574 on 4th and 5th December.

This should be available to you.

Only issue is that flight is scheduled to depart PER at 5:45 am (8:45am SYD time). On the 4th it's a 333 so skybeds.

Are the dates set - can you go a week later?

The dates are sort of set in that I have to get some stuff done before 5 /6 Dec for a meeting on 10 Dec. I hadnt checked on the BA availability - is that a bookable code share?

Normally, to be eligable to book a BA codeshare domestically in Australia, then either the travel into or out of OZ has to be on BA

You could always call QF to have the ticket re-issued ....
Oh, sorry, it would not be valid for QF to issue since you have already returned to your point of origin ;) .

The BA codeshare may require that you have arrived or departed Australia on a BA flight.

Does that apply to xONEx as well?

Maybe having a BA flight number on BA metal within the PNR will suffice?

That doesn't meet the criteria; I have had tickets where there has been a BA componant and I have not been able to use the BA codeshare within Australia ( I wanted to do it since I had a BA issued ticket and wanted to only pay the lower BA fuel fine ) being informed that it is necessary to fly BA into Oz to do em

Finishing a DONE4

Here is my problem. My DONE4 starts in NRT and the fifteenth leg brings me to SYD (where I need to be to start work). I will have this eticketed back to NRT sometime later. I know I can add 4 more legs to the ticket and to finish the trip. What then is the most SC friendly way to get SYD - X - X - X - NRT.

Or in maths teacher language solve for X where X can have 3 different values.

cheers

More solve for X Y Z isnt itwhere X and Z can be teh same value. Might need a bit more info perhaps - have you used any other SWP or Asia Flights?

Asia - yes (I started at NRT) but SWP no.

If you flew out of asia that doesnt count as an asia flight - just an intercontinental :)

I am thinking about a Grand BEHEMOTH next year and there are some good flights NRT-BKK and HKG-NRT-BKK works well.

I seem to remember you can do:

SYD-BOM-HKG-DEL-NRT

BUT you may have the expense of an overnight or two

Thanks so much I am very grateful for the input. The trip starts NRT DEL HKG LHR ...and eventually ....LAX SYD. So Asia is planned out its just the tail between SYD and NRT left to be planned.

Assuming SYD is your first entry into SWP:

-syd-ADL-DRW-PER-MEL-nrt

Adds 300 SC's and ~5,000 base miles.

How about SYD-CNS-MEL-AKL-MEL-NRT?

Or even SYD-AKL-SYD and SYD-AKL-SYD giving you two opportunities to visit NZ between now and going to NRT, providing two opportunities to maximize Duty-Free Allowance. But will need to pay $38 departure tax ex-Aus, plus ex-NZ tax if staying more than the minimum exemption times.

Okay time to seek more help.

1. The advice above gives me one too many flights (arriving into sydney is 16 - so can only have 4 more. I need 3 X's before NRT not 4. Being a maths teacher you would think i could figure this out huh?

2. Going from HKG - LHR I have the choice of CX, BA or QF. What would you recommend?

thanks again
