The Master SQ Guide (Krisflyer, Waitlists & Waitlists Clearing)

Thinking that a thread with the words “Master SQ Guide” in the title may be the appropriate one for this question.

Possibly very simple but will ask anyway. Does anyone know how to get my Velocity number in a redemption booking made through my KF account? When I get to the FF number section it has my KF number auto-populated with no ability to change. Reason I want this is lounge access by way of VA gold status while unfortunately travelling in Y.
I believe you have to do this over the phone.

I have had a KF number attached to an SQ flight and wanted the additional baggage allowance due to being a VA platinum, I just showed my membership upon checking and the allowance was granted, I would assume this works the same for lounge access?

I think there are reports on this thread (or elsewhere in the forum), of people changing FF programs and numbers at check in.

SQ allows attaching one FF number for mileage accrual, and another number for status benefits. You can do this at check-in or call them.

I am looking into a future long-haul trip; in a few weeks, the booking calendar will start to open for the relevant dates. My daughter has indicated some interest in coming with me, but it's possible she will decide later not to come.

If I make an award booking for two people, but in the end she wants to cancel, can I cancel one passenger while keeping the booking intact? Or would I have to cancel in full then hope the space for a single pax becomes available again?

(I will be posting similar questions across several programs I might use.)

You might be posting similar questions across several programmes, but I do not know of any FF programme where you cannot do this. Give them a call, ask to cancel the ticket of one of the passengers but keep the rest of the booking intact. I have done this quite a few times for various reasons and it's never been an issue.

For this type of issue the airlines first split the booking into two bookings. A new booking reference is created for one booking, while the original booking is then just for one passenger.

For me, I first instruct the agent to split the bookings and then call back and reference only the booking I want to change..
