Ok point taken, can't rely on sq waitlists
Yeah, doesn't hurt to have a waitlist on SQ, it's just that the chances of it actually clearing are incredibly low, and even more so when it's peak travel time. We've all had waitlists clear for one reason or another at some point, but it's always been a backup rather than Plan A.

Back in the day we were able to call in and "send a chaser" but now they're explicitly told *not* to do that.
