Where do you play today in Sydney ? wow 6:30 start (and up before that), i try to aoid those early mornings, especially on a weekend, but i do set a time to get up on weekends, if your not up by 10am then the day is gone so thats the alarm but usually up around 9:30.

As school holidays end in Australia soon; I am sure Air Asia will offer a similar low price offer in the not to distant future.

No better start to the morning than a game of golf. I played at Georges River and the tee off was 5:50am but still a little dark at that time. Got away at around 6:00am.

Seemed like too many stops on your initial itinerary plan.

It was specifically designed that way to break up the trip, get PC stays and cut down on airfare cost.

SIN-DRW-MEL on Tiger would be something different.

No offence to Tiger but a 2 hour transit in DRW in the middle of the night is not my idea of having fun and then I would have to get to SYD anyway. No thanks. I tried the SIN-PER-SYD red-eye with QF and this was a real killer.

Easy if you go to sleep at 4:00pm on saturday afternoon and wake up at 4:00am on Sunday morning. Felt fantastic for the first 4 holes and then my sacro iliac flared up which coincindently was the end of my golf game.

I have noticed this on the Viva Macau website and I am confused.

It looks like I cannot purchase a one-way ticket SYD-MFM unless I hold a Macau passport. Is this correct? I would have thought in todays day and age many peope have a serious of one way tickets, not necessarily on the same carrier, to get from A-B and return.

I bought a one-way ticket on them MFM-CGK with no worries, and I certainly don't hold an Indonesian passport. I think so long as you have onward tickets out of Macau it shouldn't be any issue.

Freedom fares are $650+tax each way, so about $800 all up one way - so it's a steep increase over the sale fares. As for seat selection, as far as I'm aware it's only assigned at check-in, there's nowhere I saw for advanced seat selection. Perhaps you could call them and see, but I'm confident there's nowhere to do it online in the booking process.

That is very steep and almost as high as the Premium fares. I underdstood the Freedom fares to allow for pre-allocation of seats but thought it may be a maximum of $50 more than a regular fare, but $400 more is a little over the top.

One of my biggest obstacles right now is pre-allocation of seats. I do not want to wait until check-in or for the stampede at the boarding gate. For what it is worth JQ is starting to look better all the time. Never thought I would say that.

The weird thing is a one way on CX BKK-SIN and BA/QF SIN-SYD is ~$750. So for not much more than I would pay on a LCC I could get full service carriers with pre-allocated seats, SCs and FF points. Only need to worry about how I get back to BKK next trip but that could be solved with JQ *Class oneway or QFF points award.

If anyone has flown Air Asia X is getting an exit row allocated in economy good enough or would it be better to pay for a premium economy seat? The difference between premium economy and exit row in economy is only ~A$150.

For 20MYR you can purchase an international meal but I do not see anything about beverages. Is alcohol available for sale? What if I bring my own alcohol on board? Is this allowed?

For the web site, AirAsia.com - AirAsia X Premium XL Seats , the premium economy give you a biiger seat and that's it.

Can't find any info on HP related beverages.

Not sure about what lounge facilities MH has as SGN, but they have a nice big lounge facility (called the Golden Lounge) at KUL for business class passengers.

Certainly get drinks service on MH business class .

I know I am going to disappoint a few people but the front runner now is CX I class BKK-SIN and BA WT+, before the airfare increase, SIN-SYD.

Return airfare is ~$1800 for 240 SCs.
