What if you used exactly all your points last week, and have a 0 balance?Points Bal > 0?
Edit: but not from Family Transfer…

Agreed, and I’m assuming they’re looking at earn/burn up to the beginning of SEP, with the SEP 30 timeline affording buffer for delayed points accrual from partners.I think QF would already have the script to identify activity in the last 18 months as that's what they use to make the points expire.
Don't you think it's a pretty big coincidence that 18 months was chosen?
...or there's just a lot of Bronze members compared to the other levels. Not sure if this was mentioned above.
I am pretty sure the bronze windows for the sc is set to 2 sept to 30 sept, instead of 2 sept-8 sept, because there is a requirement for the member to be active in the last 18 months. They (IT experience boy) probably never had this request before and must have negociated a wider window to make sure they can build the script.
Other members (silver, gold and above, as well as Points club and above) by designed must have had this activity in the last 18 months, but bronze... not necesserly.
My 2 cents.
That was the point of my earlier post - partly in jest - but, yep same criteria for wiping points would apply.I think QF would already have the script to identify activity in the last 18 months as that's what they use to make the points expire.

Very similar. My membership year ends this month! I will barely have them before they disappear. And for the first - and probably only time - will reach gold this month. I had to book a couple of business class to do this as I was closer than have ever been. And only on a part pension now but it would have at least helped towards lifetime silver - if only could be credited after Oct 1!With regard to the one of gift of SC's, Qantas understands that some members will benefit more than others from this gift. However, it makes no mention of those members which will get no benefit whatsoever from this as they will have retained or have bookings in advance to retain their status prior to receiving the SC's. Anyone whose membership year renews at the end of August will get a great kickstart to their cause for retaining status the following year.......what about those members with renewal dates in the immediate following months, and i am suspecting there would be thousands, that would have achieved their goal already?? Surely for those people, myself included, should get some benefit out of this gift by having these SC's at least count towards their lifetime status so they get some benefit rather than nothing at all which is grossly unfair. Qantas has been very good in the past at segregating its loyal members by putting conditions on redemptions, promotions and gifts like this so as to make them totally worthless to some members which no doubt, leaves a foul taste in affected members mouths for being nothing more than loyal to an airline!
In my case, having already made bookings in advance to retain my status with Qantas and partner airlines, i shall receive 150 SC's some time in September, only to lose them entirely in November! Thankyou again Qantas for recognising my loyalty and teasing me with a rotting carrot! Don't bother depositing my gift at all unless it will count for something!!

Did the loyalty SC count towards lifetime status as suggested that may happen in the other thread (despite QF saying it won't on the webpage)?Loyalty SC & PC Bonus Points received overnight.
Sorry @Chrizztofa, I don’t pay attention to LTS as I’m not in that ball park.Did the loyalty SC count towards lifetime status as suggested that may happen in the other thread (despite QF saying it won't on the webpage)?
No worries at all. Just curious more than anything else whether QF backtracked on this as well.Sorry @Chrizztofa, I don’t pay attention to LTS as I’m not in that ball park.
No, I don’t believe it did. I’m between LTG & LTP (a long way off), but don’t notice any change after my 150 SCs were addedDid the loyalty SC count towards lifetime status as suggested that may happen in the other thread (despite QF saying it won't on the webpage)?
I’ve taken a screen shot of “Before” - still waiting for SCs and Points to check “After”.No, I don’t believe it did. I’m between LTG & LTP (a long way off), but don’t notice any change after my 150 SCs were added
Mine just posted. No change to SCs needed for LTP*…, nor LB attainment but 2500 more points towards retaining PC.I’ve taken a screen shot of “Before” - still waiting for SCs and Points to check “After”.
Got my 150SC and 5000 FF points today. I note on my activity statement that it flags the loyalty bonus as being applied today, but with an "activity date" (for want of a better way to phrase it) of Sep 1st.
