Sunshine Coast Restaurants.

The Reserve in Maleny always gets good reviews.

We should do a dinner there.

Flaxton Gardens at Flaxton.

Perched on the edge of the escarpment overlooking farmland to the distant sea.

Sitting on the terrace on a sunny day is pretty speccy. They do everything from coffees, to light meals to the full monty. IIRC, the chef has had one Michelin star - but don't quote me on that.

An old favourite for lunch today-Ebb at Maroochydore. On the river, sheltered from the wind and great food.
I had the pork belly on pickled veggies followed by barramundi and clams whilst mrsdrron had the scallops with hazelnuts and confit chicken leg then the pork belly.

So one out of left field for me.Went to 15 year old granddaughter's birthday last night. She chose Hello Harry as the restaurant.a burger place and extremely popular with the young crowd.Run by the former Wine Bar owner and chef Tony Kelly.
So all burgers are $10.Types-Waygu,pulled pork, brisket, lamb, chicken, barramundi and vegetarian.Sides $5-fries,onion rings, chopped salad or slaw.it is licensed.
I had the pulled pork burger and mrsdrron the brisket plus shared the special of the night-Asian chicken wings. The burgers and wings were very nice.fries and onion rings are seasoned with what seems to be a mixture of salt, sugar and some chilli flakes-enough to notice but not overpowering and even mrsdrron liked it.
Downsides-wine is expensive-$9 a glass or $40 a bottle for not great wines.
As well no reservations taken.
We will probably go back at some stage but on a Friday night-every second Friday there is a night market in Ocean street.

Had dinner last night at Reserve in Milton and if their Maleny restaurant is as good then I would love to pay it a visit next time I'm in the Sunshine Coast.

Just reporting that Daisy's Place has re-opened.Had lunch there yesterday.
