Sunshine Coast Restaurants.

Unfortunately it looks like Stillwater at Maroochydore has closed.

A pity as I was going to suggest this restaurant for our next get together

SWMBO saw the "For Lease" sign last week:( doesn't look like it's a relocation........it was - a top spot!

FWIW another place that's worth a visit is here Sakana Sushi Bar, Mooloolaba

Today it was a long Christmas lunch at Wasabi,Noosa.Fabulous food.9 of us and had an 11 course extravaganza ashed down with Cloudy bay SB and a very nice pinot noir.

Will be enjoying a meal here shortly. If I don't overindulge too much :p I'll post some photos

Have just read this thread cover to cover, making me hungry now. One of these days I'll get up to one of the restaurants critiqued and/or done with a couple of you.

Next is a newcomer at Dicky beach.Yume Japanese restaurant.Very small,BYO and if we take our wine usually~$50 for the food.

Run by a fellow from Osaka so you can dine on things like Okonomiyaki and octopus balls. But also the classics-sushi,sashimi,tempura etc.
Really need to book though as only a few tables and already popular with the locals
You had me at Okonomiyaki - I love Japanese (but Mrs QF WP not a fan).

Been to The Boatshed at Cotton Tree a couple of times on family functions. Great vista, service and food.

My mother has never professed to love cooking but she does a mean roast. Simple food cooked well and with veges and a thick sauce made by use of the natural pan juices and lots of stirring.

If I wasn't a gentleman I'd have locked the plate clean - my daughter almost tried before I convinced her it was bad manners.

Now to venture up to the Sunshine Coast to sample from these restaurants - better get some more clients there ;)

Re: Epiqure latest offering

Right, so we need to come to the Sunshine Coast for a tasting amaroo - I'll bring some older Noble Ones and Moss Wood :D. Maybe we can tie this in with a visit to a Sunshine Coast restaurant...

Needless to say, none of us should drive afterwards - it's spouses or taxis
