But this should be clear to them from the ITIN and its age - so I’m confused as to the purpose of their questioning (and why they have shutdown the accounts to start with)Surely the truth - I only recently "moved" to the US

my limited experience is nothing is clear to anyoneBut this should be clear to them from the ITIN and its age - so I’m confused as to the purpose of their questioning (and why they have shutdown the accounts to start with)
I replied that was coz that was when I first ‘moved ‘ to the USWhat was your answer to this ?
I don’t get why Chase/Cap1 are so skittish about account holders who are paying their balances appropriately
Did you have a Chase checking account?I replied that was coz that was when I first ‘moved ‘ to the USand I had a longer credit history in another country .
Holy sh......! That's actually very reasonable spend. And if you have been paying it off on time I see no reason why they should do that. I have only heard of Chase shut downs when people are obvioudsly doing MS, not sure if buying groups count as this. I hope you get it sorted. Thanks . Im going to do that asap .
Do I need to pay annual fee ?
Do you know if I will get sign up bonus points if minimum spend has been met ?
Normal spend . Approx $5 k in first month on 9 k limit biz card .
$1.2 k on personal with $9 k limit im first month .
I've had this happen twice to meAll my chase cards got closed last night for no reason .
Trying to get them reinstated .
Actually, I'm curious now. They're clearly looking at your credit report. Did you apply for any other cards during that time? And how many were approved?I replied that was coz that was when I first ‘moved ‘ to the USand I had a longer credit history in another country .
I think this is the issue. It was using Google pay overseas that sparked it and then they didn't like the number of recent credit cardsActually, I'm curious now. They're clearly looking at your credit report. Did you apply for any other cards during that time?
That's strange. Do you mean Google Pay via the browser or phone? I don't think I've ever had an issue with Google pay where it triggers a fraud/financial review. I did have an interesting issue where tapping on/off in Sydney caused a fraud block via Chase but I think they just released it rather than saying it was fraud related?I think this is the issue. No I did not apply for any other cards during that time . Not even for weeks beforeActually, I'm curious now. They're clearly looking at your credit report. Did you apply for any other cards during that time? And how many were approved?
Did you manage to get it reinstated ? Any tips ?I've had this happen twice to me![]()

Actually I had this happen to me as well im 2024 . Manager to get them reinstated a week later .
That’s a poor response from Chase. It doesn’t make sense.I called them . One of the question was why do I have a credit history only from 2020 when I am in my late 40 ‘s .
Also reason for 3 new chase cards last few months .
Asked me to call in 30 days time .
Wow - that’s crazyI did have an interesting issue where tapping on/off in Sydney caused a fraud block via Chase
