I'm needing to book a flight BOM-SIN. Looking at SQ. There is SQ423 departing at 23:35, and SQ425 departing at 00:55. (A380, A350 respectively).
SQ425 is cheaper, significantly. (Yes, I have checked the price for the following day - not making the midnight mistake)
But it just seems a bit strange that there are two flights leaving within 90 minutes. I would've expected a bigger gap between departures. The other flight of the day departs at 11:50.

Is this normal? Are there any traps that I might face if I take the cheaper flight?
I'm departing SIN on Qantas the following evening. Maybe that answer my question, I should book SQ423 to at least have a 1 flight buffer.

Edit: the price saving is ~A$400.

SQ and SilkAir perhaps?
MI has already merged into SQ:

In any case, MI never used to operate widebody aircraft...

I don’t think there are any issues here. India is pretty busy for departures between 0001 and 0300… due to its proximity to both asia and europe. SQ is just maximising revenue and onward connections ex India.

What dates are looking for? I'm only able to find 423 at 2335 and 421 at 1150

I'm really tempted by F on the A380 but travel policy is to only reimburse for J, and I've been burnt before by not getting reimbursed the lower fare cost at time of booking, on a high class fare
