SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

Trying to work out if I can organise a quick jaunt to SIN next month. If only there were more Suites ex-AU.

Each quarter I get to choose whether I pay ATO on Kris Flyer CCs. Kris is winning this year as their international product is so good.
Son of cove used my points and his CC for the outgoing coins.
This month I have him looking at paying 3 accounts on his St George CC.

I feel I have adopted my niece as she has moved into 2nd year uni. 12 years of school and uni fees can look a bit scary these days. Lucky it's only money.
I have to tell my eldest son that his Emirates plane has been downgraded from an A380 to a 777 out of Perth for Russia.

Probably not specific to SQ but does anyone know if possible to hire baby strollers during SIN airport transit?

Here is a couple of photos of meals on a recent PER-SIN-LHR and return in J. Didn't bother taking of Lobster Thermindor ex-Singapore. Was as good as ever though....

In order, BTC lamb chops ex-LHR, slow cooked beef ex-PER, BTC poached eggs ex-SIN, Warm salmon omelette ex-LHR, Beef filet ex-SIN.

TBPH Comoman, the first pic (lamb chops) looks like something stodgy from boarding school. How was it?

Was very nice - it's lamb chops marinated and then rubbed in Tandori yoghurt and grilled. Pink and juicy inside. Here's the official description:

Grilled Lamb Cutlets
Grilled lamb cutlets marinated in spiced yoghurt, bubble and squeak, Greek salad and raita dressing

Daughter just advised she is off to last min conference in SIN in the morning. She doesn't know which T she arrives at, but I'm wondering in J if can she access an arrival lounge as she has HLO? Does she need to say she's there for a business meeting or something to get in?

General thoughts? The article reviews F and not R, but still makes some valid general points..

Some points are valid yes. Caviar only at dinner is not correct - I had it leaving LHR at ~09h00! There is no doubt however IMO that Suites is better than 777 First. The point about the F seat being similar to J seat is quite correct. Wine and food take it up a notch however.

I'm not too fussed about the lack of buggy etc. at Changi.

I think 'best first class' is very subjective and depends on the person. For the hard product, yes there is better out there - and SQ knows it. But ultimately, I prefer SQ's soft product and subsequently is my favoured F airline (not that I've experienced as many as these bloggers).
