SQ J - A350 or 777?

I'm just back from flying SQ A350, 777, A380 (old) and A380 (new) all in J. I found them all to be good, but yes loving the new J and I guess no need to flick over the seat, just recline. Even the old A380 J was pretty good, I guess the main thing is the older screen is noticeable now. The seat itself is fine.

agreed! I too have done most of the variations & aircrafts and love them all. New & old J & R A380, new J 777, old J 777-200 however was 1-2-1, J A350.

perhaps I'm easily pleased after travelling all these years in Y.. :D

And, what is the outcome of that? What is "regional"?

No premium economy on those flights. Narrower/shorter (?) forward facing seats in business class but still all aisle access and fully flat - but some close to window some close to the aisle.

Narrower/shorter in J??

Even when there is debate about the J seats as they stand?? Seems odd, or are they just migrating to "just another airline"?

I must admit, IMHO SQ Y is very ordinary. I've yet to try SQ J of F, but I'll be pretty p*ssed off if they alter J before I try it.

The link BillytheFish posted above has pictures of both seats. Basically on low yielding routes, such as BNE and ADL they do try and cram in more seats, and the punters didn't like the wider angled flat seats, so are in the process of switching to narrower fully flat seats. Possibly not shorter, depends on which bloggers you believe or not.

And yes, they have come under criticism, but others have praised them as well. A case of YMMV. My attitude to these things, if you are looking to find fault, you will always find fault.

My attitude is that I want something better than the Y product I have flown for so many years. Now moving into a semi-holiday lifestyle, I reckon I've paid my penance in Y.

:) I think Jetstar or Scoot "biz" products are going to better than most Y products. SQ J - even with the older angled flat regional seats, that are no longer used on BNE route -should be fine, compared to Y.
