I'm traveling Sq 218 Mel - Sin - Bkk RT in F
(O saver redemption) & a friend will be on the same flight in Y.
Can I guest my friend access into KF First lounge
at Mel as well as Sin, and Sq F pax gain entry to the TA Royal Orchid lounge at BKK?
I think I am reading your situation correctly but pls advise if I am not - O class is the relevant booking class for SQ R and F rdpt tix - and YES if it is a mixed class rdpt then unequivocally benefits for highest class in the booking apply to all sectors of the booking.
Your problem is not going to be with SQ / KF call ctr staff as they have already given you the correct info - but rather with Lounge staff when you try to access
Although technically I'm Flying in J
Bkk - Sin, it's an O class ticket (F saver redemption) meaning it's still classified as a flight in First
In all our extensive travels we have never been in a major airport where there was no lounge available, admittedly some better than others, for J passengers.
Not sure if this is the right place to post this comment but here goes. My wife and I are travelling to India, SQ RT BNE-CCU J class. We have a lengthy transit in Kolkata on the return and quite by accident I found out there is no lounge there, either SQ or partner. There is however a pay for entry lounge which costs about A$120 for 2 people for a 3 hour maximum stay.
So, I approached SQ and seeing as they have no lounge at CCU (big saving for them) I requested they give us 2 x complimentary passes to the pay for entry lounge as this is an expected benefit given the cost of the J class fare. I felt this was not an unreasonable request. Guess what, they refused with no excuse offered! So we either pay the $120 or sit in the terminal using public toilets etc for several hours, not an attractive prospect.
I find their dismissive attitude hard to believe.

We are long standing Kris members and really do like SQ but this experience has left a sour taste, so much so that we will never fly SQ again. For a piddling amount they have lost us for ever. There are plenty of other good options available.

just curious, how often does the situation of bringing in a guest happen?
most couples/family/friends travel in the same class,
...and decide to travel in different classes for various reasons.
