Sun came out 10 mins after. But darkness was cool.

Too much cloud at home (Palmerston) but the darkness was awesome...! Mareeba looks like they had a terrific view

At home they said it was awesome (Nth Beaches), the gap in the clouds in the city happened 10 mins before and 10 mins after.

The city had a great view of the 2nd half, but totality was covered.

True, but it wasn't at 6:30 am.

Up here on the beaches it was :)

(Well not quite perfect - but compared to yesterday was).

I just saw the pics my colleagues took from on the reef (50km out), the cloud cleared for them in time and are stunning.

I will post soon.....
 
wasn't in far nth qld, but saw the partial eclipse from the exec lounge in the bne hilton, where they provided special glasses to view the eclipse. even tony abbott (who was also there) took a squiz. it was very cool.
