OMFG........ I seriously can't wait for this thing to be over........so many mof_s around town (well... more than the usual) it's not funny......

Weather is ****e for those planning to be at sea....... Glad I scrapped that idea given the wind for the next few days.....

Land weather is also ****e - and definitely no good for sun viewing......

Forecast says it should clear up for Wed - personally, given the risk of coastal cloud even if the weather clears......I give it 1 chance in 3.

I do hope it goes well for all the people that spent a gazillion being here for it - but I'm not betting on it.

This morning by the Peace Park. Hope it holds true for Wednesday too.

Yep, it's been a beautiful day once it cleared....

Comment of the day.....

Dutch Backpacker: "I don't see what the big deal is with this eclipse - it's just 2 balls lined up?"

German BP: "Actually, it's 3 balls lined up!"

Dutch BP: "Well I guess that makes all the difference!"

Mon morning - overcast and raining :(

Patches of blue sky by 07:15 (40 mins late).

I would start praying to your favourite deity around about now ;)

(Well, maybe give it another rehearsal chance tomorrow)

I'm hopeful. Sunburnt and exhausted. If anyone wants to meet for a drink please sound out else I will be in bed by 6pm.

Fingers crossed for you Tae!

Perhaps today is getting all the coughpy weather out of the system!

On the upside we've sold out of Eclipse Glasses so at least everyone will look the part!

You guys are lucky I do not arrive until 16 November.

Hervey Bay and Maryborough were glad I visited for the weekend and had their first decent rainfall for 10 weeks....

No shortage of rain today JohnK!

Well 24 hours to go and raining and even more overcast than yesterday.....

I'm adjusting the betting odds to 1 chance in 4.

Perhaps crossing the toes as well as the fingers will help ;)

There were a few times that the sun came out fully, if only very briefly. It only has to be for a moment! While I would love to see the moon move across the sun, unlikely I will, but the chances of me seeing at least some of it are ok.
Fun parts of this morning...
All the pros doing practise set up runs
Ppl wearing previous eclipse tee shirts. Reminds me of being on a dive boat and some pp. have like10 different dive trip shirts that they rotate through.

We just did a reccy flight out to Fitzroy Island and a few others but there was too much swell and turbulance to land. 10 less knots tomorrow should do the trick.

Tae - I have my fingers crossed for you!

I just hope there's not too many idiots on the road when I have to go to work at 5am.

Well - I'm happy to report that there are stars in the sky! AKA - at least partially clear sky.

About an hour before it starts now...... And hopefully my predictions will be wrong!

Maybe..??..??

Just watched it thru clouds from our balcony, was really weird, went all dark and could see stars after sunup.
