So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

Well, there is a car for sale in the UK that I have always wanted, ever since seeing them run at the Thousand Lakes Rally in Finland in 1976, (I still have the t-shirt). Anyway, I can afford it, it can come here in a container with a friends bits and pieces in a year. I have somewhere in the UK to store it as well.

I have even been to the old factory, bit sad, isn't it? It's now a museum.

Question is, do I buy it? SWMBO says she doesn't care, but I have to find somewhere else to park my toys, so what do you all think? About 700cc of pure power....

Or maybe I should just buy the ex Cosworth F1 engine from a Benneton....... Just as well I don't live in the UK!

Gifted a 2020 GLC 200 with 26k kms. Was looking at a BYD Seal or a i30 initially. Looking to change to a 4-matic E class estate, I don't like rear wheel drives.

Perhaps when I graduate to a full license I'll find one a Japanese imported S213 E43/53.

A Trabbi would be awesome. And of course you don’t have to choose between it and an F1 engine - have both. Of course you will need a good engineer to make it fit in the Trabant.

Pfwaorrr! 🏎️

I reckon I could fit your Escort in my garage to free up some space for the new Trabi. I can drop over to your place to drive it home 😄

After a series of european cars (Alfa, Audi, and Abarth) pulled the trigger on a car more suited to my demographic... a Honda Jazz!
My condolences. Question: Does the Jazz come standard from the factory with the indent of a parking bollard on the rear? I swear I haven't seen one yet that didn't have this in about the exact same place 😜

I think that says more about the driver! Often, those that are not confident drivers have small cars...... and it doesn't help things any more than it should ;)

I'll send MrsK around to have a 'chat' with you - she being a Jazz owner and has never dented any part of it :).
Her first was written off in the 2020 hailstorm in Canberra, and now she has her second.

Ha - I said I hadn’t seen one yet without that feature. She can be the first 🤓
