So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

poor electronics
Ive heard the UI is very clunky

....

Diesel - its possible to put out a small fire with diesel if the diesel can completely smother the fire.
I still need diesel for the other cars so I particularly like going to the Servo in the Tesla to pump diesel into Jerry cans. Ah the smell of Dino Juice....

EV car carrying 7x20 L containers of diesel?. Safe.....;)

Interesting observation from a fb page. Rally Finland has always been regarded as the Finish GP.

No wonder drivers love the South Island roads of NZ.
Used to love watching that on TV, what 25yrs ago? The snow covered roads through the forests were spectacular. Back in the days when Citroen campaigned Xsara and Ford the Sierra (?).

Just roll the RUC into rego and be done with it. Just scale into the rego and out of the excise over say a decade, to keep revenue static.

We're probably going to sell our caravan (Centaur Karavane), and once that goes no need for a tow car. So, that means that the Range Rover Sport will be downsized. The boss's current thinking is a new Golf GTI.

People get fixated on the user pays aspect of RUC, but generally we're all users. It's the tradies who travel both sides of the city or the trucks and vans delivering our stuff that will pay the cost in the first instance, and us in the second. There's also a large cost in implementing and policing a RUC scheme - it ends up being similar to the case of the ATO - eventually you get a system so complex and costly to police, people start to look for ways to simplify it.
