So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

I got to 200kmh in a rental Peugeot diesel just following other cars. Just have to drive like the locals. I also used the car horn liberally as per local custom
At the end of the trip I added a few minor dents to the existing collection butI had full coverage🤣

I got out of Paris and toured France with just the fold up maps you get from the bookshops and Travel agents in Australia and hotel issued local maps in France.
Doing 200 clicks on a northern German autobahn in the hire Mercedes. MrsP 'Do you think you are going fast enough?'. At that moment a car passes us leaving us feeling we are hardly moving.

Yes I remember sitting on a Péage from Paris CDG to Normandy at 160 getting passed by everything including several Renault Espace with family plus surf boards on the roof.

When driving on the 'wrong' side of the road, two scenarios that catch me out, are leaving car parks and petrol stations. I know where you're coming from
An old man who’s driving down the motorway on his way home receives a call from his wife who sounds extremely agitated……..! “Albert I’ve just heard on the radio that there is a complete lunatic driving on the wrong side of the motorway that you use on your way home, please be careful”. Albert replies “I know but it’s not just one car there are bloody hundreds of them “

When I go I'd like to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming like the passengers in his car.
