So... what car do you guys drive when not flying?

While the technology inclusions in some cars are attractive, I actually want a car that has vinyl floors. Much easier to clean. But they don’t make them like that
I'm pretty certain that at least some versions of the new Defender have rubber flooring.

At work we had another Toyota Camry Hybrid delivery. They are all performing well and net of GST we get them for around $31,000 so that is quite different from the cost of an all electric vehicle. I think we now have 15 and the wait is still about 3 months. I guess Toyota have been swamped with demand for their Hybrids.
Depending on the driver and the location the vehicles are achieving between 4.3 and 5.0 litres of 98 fuel per 100 kms.

Do you notice or have enough of a resolution @cove that certain drivers have a higher fuel consumption?
Are you referring to the Ascent Sport hybrid or Ascent Hybrid?

We have Navman on our vehicles to be able to check on fraud and for safety reasons. If there is a receipt we can check if our vehicle was there at the petrol station
With some of our drivers they accelerate more than others. I won’t criticize their driving now that I am 70 and find parking between the white parking lines a bit optional.
Last year our vehicles did 1.1 million kms so we pay attention to the running costs and where they go.
The utes are used less and we have changed most of them to automatics as many under 30s cannot drive a stick shift manual.
All our Holdens are gone and we have 2 Aurions and one petrol Camry.
One of our directors has a new Toyota Camry Hybrid SL and he loves it.
Mrscove loves her NX Lexus Hybrid with the all around cameras.

I saw the Datsun 240z is now quite valuable.

Any of those Jap sports cars that were dirt cheap 10 - 15 years ago have exploded in price.
I used to have an R32 GT-R and I think I need to buy another one before they get too expensive, doubled in value in 10 years.

What about the Honda civics with the semi- 3 speed auto gearbox Hondamatic. It was actually a 2 speed - the third was the second gear with lockup torque converter.By the time I got rid of it it has 1 speeds - one forward one reverse.

It will be a classic one day my friend 😂

I use logbookme.com.au to log start and stop location, times, dates, and distances. Unlike the Navman it does not display the route - just data relating to start/finish. Business and personal trips can be apportioned.

the little unit plugs into the car’s OBD socket. About $1 perday.

A friend of mine collects old Hondas, he is currently rebuilding a Scamp, and has several S600s and S800s. He also collects and rebuilds Gogomobils, just recently went south of Hobart to pick up a T250, he also has some of the German 3 wheelers including a Fundamobile NWF200 as well as the ordinary Isettas and Messerschmitts.

He is retired but has a really well equiped workshop in Queanbeyan, builds rally cars as well, I should ask him if I can take some photos next time I'm there.
