Slow (/Non)Posting of VA Points / SC's since the SABRE switchover

Still waiting for 11 jan flight emailed again today, this is the only one missing all Feb flights posted within 48hrs.

Jan 15-29... Still nothing. I have points from a few purchases, but my FF account contains no flights. Grrr!

I didn't end up calling on Monday (no time), but as of now(ish) I'm now up to 4 weeks since the last flight and 6 weeks since the first flight.

Just to add another data point - my DL marketed / operated flights have been posting correctly to my account in under a week. I also seem to have gained a miniscule number of extra points and SCs because of a couple rebooked flights due to irrops! :)

The two flights that were VA marketed / DL operated haven't credited as yet .. will give it a bit but suspect I'll need to chase those ones. :-|

Just submitted my retro claim for VA marketed / DL operated flight (LAX>SLC) back on 3rd Feb that hasnt' been credited . Have been credited with all my VA & DL flights from my trip very promptly , some within 24 hours. . I still have a VA marketed VX operated flight to credit from 19th Feb ( DFW>LAX) but will give it another week or so before submitting a claim.

I've called them. The story this time is that the 4-6 weeks starts on the date the retro email is sent (Jan 30) rather than the flight date (Jan 15)... which means I still have another 2 weeks to wait for the US flights. Fantastic. On the up side, I think they decided to throw me a bone... It sounds like they're going to do the MEL-LAX flights manually, so should be there in 48-72 hours.

Yay!

Now I'm just waiting for the last 2... but they're only 10 SCs a pop, so I'm less antsy about waiting for those. Next step is to work out what to use my freshly credited points on.

[Update 1]
Just received a follow-up call from someone at Velocity. She's chasing down the VX flights right now.

[Update 2]
The VX flight has credited now and I received a follow up call this morning. I'm a happy little Velocity member once more. Looks like they've made it past most of the Sabre hiccups.

Nice to hear that some retro claims are working as the system intended, however disappointing that there are still members with mid January sectors still not posted.

Like others here, my domestic sectors in FEB all posted within 72 hours.

You need to get on to them about that. You're past 6 weeks. They should be able to get straight on it.

Just received email back from Velocity Plat -

To proceed with your Points claim we require a few more details. To assist us with your enquiry can you please forward us your E-Ticket stating your booked fare class (represented by an alphabetical character). Once we receive this documentation we will be able to investigate your claim further.

I have now sent this in, along with the letter we recieved with the $1000 credit for the hassle with the changeover and time delay (was very excited about this and this has posted to my account) and our boarding passes (which were hand writtend due to no computer system)!

I did a flight on January 25 - SIN to MEL in J. I originally had the flight booked for 18th and put it back to 25th. I confirmed with the reservations guy that the Velocity membership was linked to the booking, he assured me it was. I confirmed again at Check-in and again at the lounge. Why so cautious - simply because I have read of the stories of SQ sectors not crediting - so was being doubly sure. It also presented on the boarding pass. Of course it did not post, I put in a missing points claim, waited the 14 days, no credit, put in another claim, shot off an email to Velocity, they tell me it will be done and credited within 14 days, no sign. Now after a few emails I get back that the points were credited to another program (which is untrue) so basically tough luck. That is 120 status credits and 4500 odd points. Not prepared to give up on that at this stage. Though to be honest I have had enough of Virgin.

10 sectors on Air New Zealand not credited, they want further details, perhaps they should check on their system and find the details they seek - perhaps under booking associated with my account that might be a good place to look.

They upgraded my son to Platinum at 995 status credits that was back in October, I protested that because his status balance does not drop off until April and any of the flights we do up until then can be credited to him to take him over the 1000. They basically ripped us off 6 months of membership. Both myself and my partner are Platinum so there is no benefit in him being platinum. Despite many emails and many conversations and more importantly many assurances it would be resolved there has been no communication on the matter in months and there is no resolution.

For me I have had my fill of Virgin and it's new system. It is very lacking and their responses and actions around it are pathetic. 3 x Platinum and all personal and company business is going elsewhere. More than a little annoyed !!

On top I wanted to use the upgrade vouchers to upgrade flights MEL - OOL and MEL - PER - took them the best part of 5 hours to do it. I was patient and they were apologetic but nonetheless that was, as I understand it, a direct consequence of the "efficiences" introduced by their new system.

Well - we may be starting to make progress - look what happened to me this morning. I flew some VA sectors on Monday and was very surprised to see them posted this morning.

Note how quickly the sectors posted to Velocity, and also the missing flight. I definitely checked in at the airport for both the TSV-BNE and the BNE-ADL sectors and certainly flew them but somehow the BNE_ADL sector went AWOL. I have seen at least one other AFF member with very recent flights being credited very quickly but incorrect SC and points elsewhere on AFF. Just called the Velocity call centre to find out what is going on - of course they are closed on Saturday!

This also got me thinking - maybe they have "switched off" or stopped the manual claims process, which then got me thinking - I may even try to use the "claim missing points" tool in Velocity, and guess what? I got this:

So something has definitely been "switched on" or changed recently since the Sabre changeover, this is the first online claim on the Velocity website that has not been rejected out of hand.

Anyone else checking their Velocity missing SCs and points now?

Eastwest101, I have just flown BNE/SYD with the return sector tomorrow. Will let you know how I get on with the posting of both sectors. I thought that they'd got it right for flights from a point of time (well after the changeover). Don't be surprised that the autobot (as it was described to me) will have picked up your missed sector within 48 hours - I was told that it will be checking for the first 7 days - only after which the manual process can be performed.

I received the same yesterday afternoon for an Air NZ flight taken on the 8th.

We'll see how it goes - I'll give it until Wednesday.

I made those claims for some SQ flights. Nothing happened after 72 hours, called, emailed retro, took me about 6 weeks to have it sorted out, and then they've only managed to credit as "Bonus Points" and "Loyalty Status Credits"
Ludicrous imo... (when my inbound flights posted fine on the same booking!)

Hi There, flew BNE-SYD on Friday, SC points are in my account today.

Just FYI - I put my missing points claim in yesterday (23rd Mar) for flights taken on the 18th Mar and it looks like it was processed succesfully late yesterday (23rd Mar), not sure if the "autobot" picked it up or if it was the missing claim I submitted online that did it. Either way being a Sat afternoon I would assume a fairly automated proccess did this without human intervention.

Also looks like SC's and points have credited correctly in Velocity - which makes a nice change.

So I realize that everyone is different - but looks like the Velocity Claim Missing Points tool may be fixed (for domestic VA anyway), and/or automated posting of Velocity Points and SC's may be starting to work again for recent bookings and flights.

Wow. I just checked and my Friday flights are up. They've posted correctly 20 SCs per sector and the family pooling has also worked properly. At this rate, I'll be silver before I get home.
