Singapore Overnight Transit

I would still show up and ask as they have may have "no shows", esp. as you don't need to put a deposit to secure a room.
That is what they recommended in the email. It would be a hassle if nothing is still available and I would need to spend 12 hours in the terminal.

I booked my transit hotel 4 & 1/2 months in advance
I should have booked back in April but got side tracked.

FWIW, it's not looking good ... Tue/Wed/Thu even worse!
Plenty of availability in the lower range hotels.

FWIW I had $10 discount available from Agoda which expires end of this year so I have done the deed and booked Hotel 81 - Princess in Geylang for ~US$32.

I am more partial to Little India

Mrs WF and I stayed at the Fragrance Selegie. Spotless.... Her only comment was that the double room was only really big enough for one person - assuming they were not too large.... A little more upscale is the Perak Lodge. Also spotless and better rooms but almost twice the price.

As well Little India is not quite into downtown so the cab fares are a little cheaper.

I tried the Fragrance Emerald in Geylang. OK but not as clean and I didn't save anything on the cab fare. Also the restaurants are better in Little India.

Happy wandering

Fred

Has anyone stayed at Fragrance Hotel Sapphire? I would appreciate your views on this hotel. I know it is close to the red light district but is it as bad as all the reviews I have found via Google? Are the reviews negative because the hotel is close to the red light district or that the hotel is genuinely bad?

I only want somewhere to leave suitcase and golf clubs and sleep for a few hours as I will more than likely be out until after 3:00am anyway and try to get to back to airport by about 10:00am. If it is as bad as some of the reviews suggest I can just check my suitcase and golf clubs through to BKK and have a proper shower in the lounge before the flight.
