Singapore Airlines Delays/Cancellations

SQ248, the 0700 hours MEL-SIN on Wednesday 17 December has A359 9V-SHP. It took off at 0750 so gate arrival looks to be about 1223 hours, 43 late.

The 0055 hours SIN down to BNE on Friday 19 December 2025, SQ255 (A359 9V-SHK) took off at 0208, so gate arrival should be 1117 hours, 32 minutes tardy. The flight was formed by the scheduled 2320 hours arrival that was only five minutes late, SQ633 from HND, but perhaps a scheduled 95 minute turnaround is insufficient.

SQ207 is the day flight timetabled to depart SIN at 0745, but on Saturday 27 December 2025 A359 9V-SMB did not become airborne until 0936 hours. MEL arrival at gate should be approximately 1934 hours, 84 minutes late. The aircraft had arrived in Singapore this morning at 0645 hours, half an hour behind as SQ309 from LHR

SQ must have had an A359 fail as on Sunday 28 December 2025, 9V-SMS arrived in SIN at 0713 hours, two minutes early as SQ301 from MAN and was then requisitioned to operate SQ207, the 0745 hours to MEL that didn't have a hope in hell of punctually departing. It took off at 0842 after a quick turnaround so MEL gate arrival tonight becomes 1845 hours, only 35 minutes tardy. The allowed turnaround to SQ208, the 1925 hours MEL-SIN is tight at only 75 minutes so this flight will also be delayed.

On Tuesday 30 November 2025, SQ208, the 1925 hours MEL-SIN wasn't airborne until 2101, so Wednesday 31 arrival at gate for A359 9V-SMB should be at about 0132 hours, 77 minutes late. This was because the aircraft had operated CHC-SIN as SQ296 timetabled into SIN this morning at 0640, but 16 minutes late, to form the 0745 hours to MEL that didn't take off until 0944 (SQ207), arriving at 1923 hours, 73 minutes behind schedule.

On Sunday 4 January 2026, SQ223, the 0930 hours midmorning SIN-PER took off at 1107 with B78X 9V-SCR. Arrival at gate this afternoon (Perth time) should be 62 minutes late at 1547 hours.

SQ237 is frequently an early arrival in MEL after its trip from SIN, but that's not the case on Monday 5 January 2026 with gate arrival for B773ER 9V-SWK expected at 1304 hours, 54 minutes tardy.

For a second consecutive afternoon, storms in and around SYD on Monday 5 January 2026 are creating delays.

The Monday 5 January SQ241 (the 0705 hours ex SIN) took off at 0755 hours, so only then about 20-25 minutes late. As at 1846 hours it had just emerged from a hold, so expected gate arrival has become 1906 hours, 71 minutes late for A359 9V-SMP.

On Monday 12 January 2026, SQ208, the 1925 hours MEL-SIN (A359 9M-SMD) took off at 2037 hours so Tuesday 13 arrival should be at 0100 local time, 45 minutes late. SQ207 had arrived in MEL at 1909 hours, 59 late, so a quick turnaround.

I always wonder in such circumstances how well an aircraft is cleaned. given the very limited time contractors have on board.
