Singapore Airlines Business Class Meals & Menus

I've never flown long haul on Singapore Airlines, and am looking forward to a trip later in the year. Does anyone know the meal timing for SQ338 SIN-CDG?
Is it dine on-demand in Business?

With a 13+ hour flight time, 13:35 departure and 21:15 arrival - I'd imagine anything is possible (such as a late lunch out of Changi and Dinner before arrival into Paris)

Thanks, didn't realise it had the breakdown: lunch (which I presume is when 'book the cook' would be served), snacks on demand, and light dinner.

If you're returning from CDG don't get the Filet de Charolais Boeuf. Mine was not good at all. The hunk of meat was an odd shape with a really thick end and a really thin end. As a consequence the thick end was very under done. I normally eat my beef medium rare but a large part of the meat was barely even blue.

One odd thing was that no bread was offered at all during the meal service and it appeared nobody else around me was offered bread either. Not too sure what happened there?

Had a similar thing happen on our flight from PER-SIN in December, crew came around offering bread after everyone finished their mains which was very odd, you'd think the bread would be offered before or with the starter and not just before the dessert? Will be flying SQ J again to Brussels next week so will see what happens this time round.

Food was alright, had a salmon salad starter and a BTC burger which tasted fine, but the patty was way too thick, a smashed patty would have been better.

You can choose BTC for both lunch and the light dinner (different options for each) if you want.

Overall a nice flight though the crew seemed rushed and service was a bit mixed. In addition to no bread being offered, I requested a pre departure champagne and the FA told me he had none left on his tray and insisted I have some weird guava champagne mix drink thing instead.

Flying out on SQ228 next Monday and was wondering if anyone has tried either the chicken or the garlic chilli braised barramundi from the main menu? I normally go with the lamb, but the accompaniments and jus seem a little, how should I put it, avantgarde for my tastes...



Side observation, been a little while since I've flown SQ J, but although they're not usually known to cater well for vegetarians, there seems to be zero main option for vegetarians on the main menu and on BTC out of Melbourne? One would have to take a complete punt on the special meals selection?

That’s the same menu I have for our upcoming ADL-SIN flight.
My understanding is that Vegetarian options are under the Special meals selection and there is usually 4-5 options

Went with the BTC peppercorn steak out of MEL
Wasn't too bad but was perplexed at why the sauce was bright orange ? Not so clear in photo but def orange in vivo

Had the beef short ribs on SQ278 earlier this week and was pretty disappointed TBH, was tough and resembled beef jerky more than beef short ribs. Flight was solid enough and staff were decent but I just never get blown away by the SQ J product and always find it a tad underwhelming but points availability ex ADL is good so more often than not it’s the way we go

Lamb Loin Stir Fry with coughin Leek Sauce
Chargrilled Mackas Black Angus
Stir Fried Prawn in Ginger shallot sauce

Leaning towards the grilled beef and black angus. But worried they will be dry?


SIN - BRU (Supper)
Char Siew Noodles
Heritage braised duk with yam rice
Chicken rice

Leaning towards the Char Siew Wonton Noodles and my partner is leaning towards the duck.


Breakfast:
SG Fried carrot cake
Lobster Thermidore
Gruyere egg soufle

For breakfast I was leaning towards the lobster, because its lobster... but have read mixed reviews about this? And have read the SG fried carrot cake' is tasty?

My only experience in those dishes was the Chicken Rice. I would not recommend it as I have had better at a $5 market stall and I remember reading some locals disparaging it as well.

The char siew wonton noodles are very tasty. I’ve only had the chicken rice in PE, but I enjoyed it immensely.

I liked Grilled beef in green peppercorn Sauce and Char Siew noodles. But I have not tried Heritage Braised Duck with Yam Rice before so I would take that one.

Lobster Thermindor is something you take so that you can say that you have tried lobster whilst in the air......

SQ208 Mel-Sin 21/09/25

I had the chicken breast with truffle butter for my main course. It was excellent. Cheese and ice cream for dessert. The cabin crew were delightful as usual.
