Flying in/out Changi October 2023.
I have no access to any airline lounges but have Priority Pass so can use their lounges.
I have a choice between Marhaba Lounge or SATS Premier Lounge.
It's just me and Mrs Mizzum.

If anyone has experience of these lounges, which one is nicer? Better food, seating, busy-ness?

Just got back from SIN earlier this month. I would recommended Plaza Premium with better food choices and comfort seating.

SATS Premier lounge is also a good alternative however they were turning away priority pass & dragon pass users due to capacity constraints. This was around 9pm.

I see @risaka says that SATS T1 is better but @serfty says that Marhaba T1 is better. Are there any other posters available to provide a tiebreak (with reasons)! (Plaza Premium is not an option at this time.) Thanks.

I used both in T1 last year when MH was alternating monthly between Marhaba and SATS.(!)

Neither terrific, but Marhaba located near the QF First lounge had better F&B.

Did the Marhaba T1 lounge on Wednesday using Dragonpass. Unlike the zoo that was the lounge at MXP, it was quiet when I was there between 5.30 and 7.30, with comfy seats and a decent array of food and beverages.

OK, so for the purposes of research (and as I was flying Scoot) I burned two Dragonpasses to try T1 SATS and Marhaba. As noted above, it is "sama sama," but with SATS for me having a slight edge due to more comfortable seating in a greater variety of configurations: singles, doubles, quads offering more privacy; whereas Marhaba had mainly quads and sixes in an open layout. A lot of the Marhaba lounge seats had uncomfortably high arm rests with weird wooden covers.

Food: fairly line ball, Marhaba had a couple of nice curries (Japanese beef and Indian gobi) but otherwise fairly uninspiring, SATS has the laksa station which is nice but otherwise their main dishes were very carb heavy (like Qantas J lounges except with more variety). SATS has a bit more variety with cold meats etc.

Drink: the usual suspects, one choice each of white/red (didn't try), limited selection of spirits (self pour) which SATS having a slight edge of Gordons over Beefeaters, and local beers.

The clearing-up trolley at Marhaba was very loud, didn't notice it at SATS.

Both were relatively quiet when I was there, SATS mid-morning to lunchtime, Marhaba breakfast time to mid-morning. SATS may have been busier at breakfast time than Marhaba at the same time, but it was clearing out when I arrived so not sure.
