BritExit 23 June tick tock .....

Odds are now 5/4 Brexit (43%) and 4/6 against.

The odds are swinging around quickly. Interesting to see what happens to EU.

Europe is always affordable.

Bought a really nice leather jacket in 1994. Parts of it still fit but not all at once. Shame.

It's not unexpected nor surprising! Switzerland may have applied to join, but something like this would usually be subject to a public vote. I would have been surprised had they voted to join!

Your not Junbugging Mel_Traveller. :D

The Swiss application had been suspended for 24 years. Recent actions have changed essentially nothing, except perhaps in the minds of Daily Mail headline writers.

What do you mean nothing ..... It's changed everything.

Daily mail news readers aside that is

So you think Switzerland had gradually (glacially) been moving towards joining the EU? I do not.

Isn't currency supposed to be honoured by central banks for ~50 years?

Apparently not.

Italy had the strictest time limit of all 18 eurozone countries, although Finland, France and Greece were just a year behind with a 2012 deadline.
The central banks of nine eurozone countries, including Germany and Ireland, set no limit for exchanging banknotes from the old national currency.

I am definitely a very happy person ......we are of one mind on this one
